Dr. Robert Stephen Barry, MD

So far the visit has been horrible! Dr Barry has been my children’s doctor since the children were little .... matter of fact he was my doctor when I was a little girl. I love doctor Barry . What’s frustrating is not being able to see him when we need to see a doctor . Our family has been fighting bronchitis and I needed my oldest to be seen. I called and spoke to the receptionist and surprisingly she had an opening ... unfortunately with it being right at 8:50am Thursday morning , and my son having to attend school, I had to cancel the following morning when the office opened . They charged me a “no show “ fee because i didn’t cancel that( same day ) when it states 24 hour cancellation . Most of our family appointments are seen by another doctor and not doctor Barry. I have have bad experiences with the other doctor in the office . For as little as my children See a doctor , I just wish that when it came time for them to be seen the office could get us in. I can speak highly of… the assistant who checked my child’s vitals. He was very caring and concerned for my child’s health. I have have both my youngest and oldest checked out by him and he’s great! I give him a 5 star!! I forgot to mention the wait times... My appointment was for 11am , we didn’t get called back until 11:40 am ??????? It is now 12:20 and we are still waiting for a doctor . There needs to be some change in that office so that the office flow is more suitable for patients , because patients are sitting in the lobby waiting almost an hour prior to being checked in and seen by a doctor. Hopefully the communities concerns bring about awareness for change .

Billing dept/ front office has no customer skills at all the most rude people ever

If my child is sick, I can get a same day appointment. Dr. Barry takes his time to examine the child and listens to my concerns. I have brought my children to him for 5 years now and only recently, I have been dissatisfied. Latetly, they seem to have a real issue with having the immunizations that my child needs. I made my concern to the doctor and he explained that they were going to change providers, which should help with the problem. They are currently converting to electronic files and you can tell they are struggling with he change. But overall I have had good experiences with this doctor.

dr barry has a good bedside manner but is not real quick. his office is slow in processing any patient thru. you will spend anywhere from 1hour to 1.5 hours in his office with any appoitment even first morning.
