Dr. Robert Lee Bentz II, DO

I do not recommend this location. The prices increased without notice prior to appointments. When I asked for the prices, they waited until after I completed my exam to advise of the increase. I’m addition, when I choose contacts they stated there would be no balance; however, when I picked them up I was advised there is a balance. That is not good business or customer service. Especially in this pandemic it’s important to be honest and have transparency. I will no longer be a customer.

I went to Dr. Bentz for a cataract surgery after my friend had a great experience with him. I went to two other doctors for consultations, but decided to trust him with my eye from my friend's testimonial. In contrast. I had a terrible experience. Before the surgery, I made it known that I would like to read my computer screen after the cataract surgery, but it didn't turn out that way. Instead I only was able to see very close-up along with some prismatic effects from the eye that had the surgery. I mentioned this to Dr. Bentz, but he said the "surgery went fine, and everything looks good" , and dismissed the problem that I have. He seemed irritated that I brought it up. I got a second opinion, and was told that I have a slight wrinkle in the "lens capsule". I would not go to him again. I'm regretting that I did :(

The older woman at the front desk is not pleasant. I was told that they close at 6pm when I arrived at 5:02pm to pick up my contacts the same older woman rudely told me they closed at 5pm. I told her I called and was told they close at 6pm and she rudely answered ,,,that's on Tuesday and Thursday. When I finally picked up my contacts at 445pm on Friday as I got inside my car I noticed they didn't give me saline solution or a contact container so I had to go back and ask for it. Definitely they could use retraining in customer service,

A very welcoming place. Patty who helps with fittings is superb. Been going to them for 20 years.
