Dr. Robert Jean Bonhomme, MD

Dr. Robert Jean Bonhomme is (by far) the best Doctor I have ever had! He is truly a wonderful person & Dr. He treats everyone with dignity and respect. He will do everything in his power to help you, no matter what. If you are able to see him, do it! I literally cried when I was told that he would be moving. To the person who wrote the nasty review; Dr Bonhomme did NOT just leave! He is a Coronal in the United States Air Force! Our country needed him & he left his home, practice, family & friends, to answer that call. They did try to contact all of his patients, by phone and mail. I know this because I was a patient & I received a call and a letter. As far as cleanliness, sure the walls could use a coat of paint, but that's all I give you. He seen hundreds (or thousands) of patients, most of them couldn't pay. So therefore, he was understaffed. Anyway, he is wonderful & the best Doctor in the whole wide world!

Dr. Bonhomme is a unique doctor and human being. Unlike most doctors, he puts patient health above prescribing unnecessary medicines. He treated me for my weight, cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Counter-intuitively, he advised me to go on a low-carb diet, tapered me off my high-blood-pressure medication, and encouraged me to eat eggs and healthy fats and proteins. I lost over 30 lbs, my blood pressure went down, and my overall and "bad" cholesterol dropped. Unfortunately, I moved to NJ and the doctors there did not like low-carb and insisted on prescribing more and more medications. I became discouraged and gained back the weight, blood pressure and cholesterol climbed again. The doctors kept prescribing more medicines, and my weight, BP, and cholesterol kept climbing. I wish I could see Dr. Bonhomme again. He is one of a kind.

Dr. J. Robert Bonhomme was located on Lawrenceville Hwy in Lilburn, GA and I was dismayed to call Dr. Bomhomme's office only to find the number had been disconnected. I drive to his office and found it bare and empty, so went next door to find that he had just left town rather suddenly. The office next door thought he had quit his practice to go into the National Guard as he is a flight surgeon with them as well. In searching for him online I am seeing he is now in Biloxi MS. My whole file is with Dr. Bonhomme and I wonder what has been done with all of it. Has it been discarded in the trash somewhere?? I sure would like to know why he skipped town rather suddenly. Anyone have any answers?????? While in practice I found his office dirty, walls dirty and scuffed, office staff sitting around doing nothing, all while he ran around like a chicken with no head and falling further and further behind in seeing his patients. It was very common that I would wait 1 to 2 hours to be… seen!! I saw others waiting as well. I often felt like he needed to delegate jobs to his office staff, but instead he did it all. Filing needed to be done and files sat stacked all over the office. This is why I worry about what has become of my file.....as I know there is sensitive info in it. Others need to be wondering too where their file is!!!!!
