Dr. Robert Gerard Brousse, MD

I went to Dr. Brousse for first time today. He was incredibly nice. I felt right at home with him. HE Answered all my questions perfectly and showed a genuine interest in me. I am so glad I found him. Highly recommend! Also I got appointment same day I called and wait time was minimal.

I have been going to Dr. Brousse for nearly the entire time of his career. He has always treated me with respect, kindness and professionalism. If I went with him with a problem, it was solved immediately. I would highly recommend him to anyone in search of an excellent ENT.

Had to make an emergency visit, and was happy when I was taken on the same day. However, if you are to see this doctor, PREPARE TO WAIT! The lobby is jam-packed which makes each visit close to two hours. Dr. Brousse is a good, knowledgeable doctor, but not too comforting. His staff is not the friendliest and if you can avoid this place, do so and go somewhere else. Had my emergency visit and follow up, but never again in the future. Two stars only for the doctor knowing his stuff, and ease of appt.

I'm 90 minutes into my wait and this is the norm. This will be my last visit here. Reminds me of the old Seinfeld where Jerry can't get his rental car. This office knows how to take appointments just not how to keep them.

I find this Dr. very professional, my sister recommended him to me for my allergies. So far his office is great, no problem getting appointments. I like his front office staff & love his nurses. Dr. Brousse ask for me to follow up with his office after visit or test.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Brousse at 11:30 on a work day. I figured it would take up all of my lunch and then some I know how most doctors visits are. However I sat in his office for over an hour and still had 4 to 5 people ahead of me. I don't know if it was a schedule error but this was unacceptable for me so I left and I will never go back. He either has too many patients or his office cant set appointments up correctly I wont go to a doctor visit that takes 3 hours I have a job.

Dr. Brousse diagnosed me well and his treatment worked. He was kind and engaged in our conversation when I was in his office. I have no idea why some have given him low ratings, but my guess is that only those who have had a bad experience have gone online to voice that.

I should have known from the very first meeting, when we shook hands, his grip was so hard, my hand hurt for several minutes. My problem was diagnosed, mass in my salivary gland, and surgery performed to remove the gland, went home same day with a drain in the incision. Returned following day to have the drain removed. Waited approx. 1 hr. past appt. time in freezing cold waiting room, then exam room. Doc burst in, obviously in a great hurry, removed bandage, then drain, then very forcibly grabbed the two sutures left there to be sewn after the drain removal. I actually screamed at the pain. My daughter is an RN, and she stated I was handled much as a pt. under gen'l anesthesia would be. Very painful. Then proceeded to apply a "pressure bandage,"once again VERY forcibly and hurried, wadded up some 4X4 gauze, and smashed in onto the incision, actually leaving a large amt. of swelling in one area of my jaw where he gripped it and dug in with his thumb. My daughter questioned his… choice of wound dressing, but she was dismissed. She said the first mistake was UNSANITARILY wadding up pieces of gauze, then wrapping them around my neck with "Kerlex", then trying to tape this crude dressing together. It was the worst case of incision/wound care she'd seen in 18 years of nursing, many years of that as a Wound Care Nurse. The pain in and of itself as he crudely grabbed my neck was horrific, and he paid no attention to my crying and objections, saying only, "Yeah well you've got to expect it to be painful, right?"!!! My daughter was quite angry and said once again that he handled me as though I were under gen'l anesthesia. The dressing he applied started to come apart soon after we left the office, and my daughter was forced to go out and buy the proper supplies to re-dress the wound. It was completely painless and secure when she did it. She explained that tape does not adhere to "Kerlex", a type of long elastic bandage with a "fuzzy" texture that the tape peels right off of. She's cared for my wound and redressed it each day since then, and not once was it painful. That last visit made me feel very powerless, to know that my life was in this man's rough and careless hands. I now await, after three days, on a Friday afternoon, the promised phone call letting me know whether the removed mass was malignant or not. I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone, no matter how desperate.

The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a so-called medical professional. Rude, condescending, insulting, and downright abusive staff. Waited for an hour in the waiting room, and then waited another 15-20 minutes a room for five minutes of "diagnosis". Brousse tried to prescribe me antibiotics and give me a steroid shot after I told him that I had been treated with antibiotics and steroid shots several times in the past six months. (I am allergic to several antibiotics, have developed a tolerance to others, and the antibiotics have never even helped my condition. I eventually talked him out of the steroid shot--he admitted too many in a short period can cause side-effects--but he insisted on prescribing Allegra even after being told that it had not helped either.) I went to walk-in clinic immediately after, where I was told I had fluid building up behind my eardrum. This alleged specialist did not notice it. NEVER, EVER again. WORTHLESS doctor, and vile staff.The… nurse at the walk-in clinic I went to afterward said that she had been a patient of his for three years, without seeing any improvement in her condition. The doctor she after after him resolved her problems in one visit. His staff also apparently has a bad reputation among medical professionals. I can't say I'm surprised.Avoid this practice like the plague, unless you get off on humiliation and incompetence.
