I found Bobby Buka on Zocdoc and he was super friendly!

As with most dermatologists, nearly every diagnosis is eczema. I had a terrible reaction over most of my body after a procedure on my foot and the Dr. didn’t bother/want to look at the area of the procedure. Steroids and sent me on my way. When the problem didn’t go away, it was stronger steroids. When the problem still didn’t go away, I was very lucky to get through a terrifying experience by researching symptoms/treatments myself. Just paid the final bill which was rough to do when the situation was only exacerbated by the 2 visits. Our medical system is downright dangerous.

I visted the Kips Bay location a few months ago. I was misdiagnosed and prescribed a steroid ointment that I actually later found out would have made my condition worse. In addition, I read that that topical steroids actually are thought to be potential causes for the condition. I was advised to have expensive $500 dollar plus allergy testing which was useless because the condition was not an allergy. At my follow up, I saw another doctor who finally correctly dignosed the condition in a matter of two seconds of just looking at my face. She prescribed an antibiotic that ended up giving me an allergic reaction. I called to get adivce and to be presrcibed a new antibiotic and she was impossible to get a hold of. A week later I walked in to the office and the people at the front desk were extremely unhelpful and disorganized. After this terrible experience I decided to go to a new dermatology practice altogether.

I've been to his UWS location before once and I liked my experience. I came back to remove a skin tag in the same area as I had before. The doctor told me that it's wart, not a skin tag. I wasn't advice about the price. I had no idea that procedure doesn't guarantee the results. I would NEVER do it if I knew that the cost would be $975 for a 10 minutes visit. And now I have two warts instead of one! It's clearly fraud to make more money on people like me who believe in the best doctor's intentions and don't ask questions because I assume that a doctor will inform you about everything. Stay away! P.S. The woman who is a manager of a billing department was extremely rude! Horrible experience!

Very nice and listened to everything I had to say and the staff is very nice. Best dermatology visit i have ever had I will definitely come back.

Everyone was extremely helpful from the intake nurse Diana, to the NP studying underneath him. The diagnosis was quickly resolved and thoroughly explained to me, along with treatment options. I was given options and recommendations without pressure. Felt comfortable the entire time.

Dr. Buka and his staff are very professional and accommodating. The examination itself was thorough but fast and reassuring. Dr. Buka was very welcoming of any questions and was very easy to talk to.

Was very knowledgeable and made everything clear for me.

Good experience diagnosed me quickly and was very kind.
