Dr. Cantu has multiple infractions/citations from the Texas Medical Board for inappropriate sexual boundaries with patients. He has little regard for the patient’s emotional well being and has caused great harm.

Completely unaware of effects of menopausal hormonal changes on performance of antidepressants in women. Prescribed Paxil without letting imipramine wash out of my system, causing muscle spasms. Rude.

Rock bottom worst psychiatrist out there. Because I found knowlegable psychiatrists who worked with me to explain personality types after my experience with Cantu, I learned the Cantu is unempathetic with overt narcissistic personality disorder (check out YouTube videos on NPD—you will run from him!) who thinks he holds the keys to your life and it’s outcome. Steer clear! Especially if you are suicidal. He’ll send you over the edge. Check out his yelp if you are still considering.

I love Dr. Cantu. I only wish my insurance still reimbursed me for his care. I've had to find another shrink and while he's fine, Cantu was finer.
