Dr. Robert Bruce

I have been seeing Dr. Bruce for 16+ years and while I agree he takes his time with his patients, explains his thoughts, and is friendly, he is not very knowledgeable about mental health and can be pretty dismissive and inconsiderate. Before my recent visit, he was called by another professional on my medical team and asked not to discuss my weight as I have an eating disorder that could’ve easily been treated way earlier if he hadn’t dismissed my concerns. Despite me bringing up what I had gone through, he didn’t take much responsibility and seemed uninterested. I got a blind weight when coming in and upon leaving he handed me a paper with my weight stated. Although I explained what I thought was going on, he seemed to have his mind made up I was fine, and was not careful with his comments given my situation. I think he can be a great doctor for simple physical problems, but I would recommend going elsewhere for mental health and concerns where you value your voice being heard.

We love Dr Bruce! He's been amazing with my special needs daughter and our preemie as well!

Wonderful doctor! We're moving from the area and very sad to switch doctors. He always spent lots of time with us thoroughly answering all of our questions.
