Dr. Robert Lund Daniels, MD

I was courted for the sale of a BAHA (bone anchored hearing aide). On the day of my surgery, Dr. Daniels sauntered in and asked me about the type of implant that I wanted. He said, “ You wanted a magnet, right”? No, we had extensively went over this. No, I wanted the abutment. He seemed very irritated by this and I could sense the underlying anger, being under light sedation. I felt that my head was rocked back and forth as he angrily shaved my head. The after care printed instructions differed from the verbal instructions that my daughter was given ( weight restrictions). No education was given until months after. At my two week check up , I felt dizzy and nauseated. The on-call Dr. from the hallway stated that, it is just a migraine.” She did not even bother coming into the room. The MA sheepishly told me that if I had any problems, to let them know. I feel that once the sale was complete, so was my care. I tried to get an appointment for problems that I was experiencing… but I have yet to get a call back. I finally went to another ENT and he said he could get in touch with Dr. Daniels if I wanted. Um, no thanks. Although he has an amazing skill, he lacks empathy for adults and has staff that will not call you back for an appointment. I should not have to have a third-party point of contact for this physician. I also had a significant infection that I treated topically on my own. I may have benefitted from an oral antibiotic.

Dr. Daniels and his team took great care of me during my recent stapedectomy surgery. He made sure I was comfortable and cared for. I highly recommend him, he is a wonderful surgeon

Dr. Daniels was fantastic. I had an acoustic neuroma (vestibular schwannoma) brain tumor surgery with Dr. Daniels this spring. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Daniels. The surgery was a success! Dr. Daniels was very confident in his recommendations, he provided detailed explanations, and took the time to visit me in the hospital multiple times during my recovery. I always felt like a priority in his hands.

Called to schedule an appointment and the women who answered the phone was INCREDIBLY rude. Don't go here. Got a very pretentious vibe. As a singer and professional, they will great not having my business.

I first met Dr. Daniels in 1999 at age 24, when I was suffering from a serve, ongoing ear infection. He had just located to Grand Rapids, Mich., and I was lucky to already be a patient in the office where he was going to practice. Dr. Daniels is one of best -- if not the best -- ear doctors in Michigan. He is the only one, to my knowledge, in West Michigan with his level of expertise. His strengths are in knowledge of his craft and execution, which is what you'd want. He'll tell you what you need to know, but it is up to you to seek detailed clarification. In short, Dr. Daniels is the guy that other ENTs send their patients to when things get tough with matters of the ear. If you can get in to see him, consider yourself fortunate.

Dr. Daniels is truely a great doctor. He takes his time explaining everything in detail and has an excellent bedside mannor! His office staff is also friendly and knowledgeable.

He saved my life in 2001. I recommend him to everyone, there are few doctors who can do what he can do. If you have something serious, he's the guy!

Dr. Daniels is great. His office staff, however, is rude & condescending. They are not helpful on the phone or in person and don't act as though they really care who knows it.
