Isn't a friendly doctor. First time ever I had a doctor tell me he didn't have time to answer all of my questions.

I had a septoplasty done by Dr. Dedio at LVHN last year. I had been unable to breathe through my nose for over 10 years. Admittedly, I had not been checked by a doctor for a long time, because the initial doctors just chalked it up to a "sinus infection." And they all told me it would clear on its own. But it didn't... ...Until Dr. Dedio explained everything to me clearly. He showed me why other Doctors probably thought it was a sinus infection but more importantly, he showed me why they were wrong. He led me through the entire procedure from start to finish and why it was necessary. He also gave me a much needed heads up about the nasal packing (more on that in a bit). He answered all of my questions and explained why things were done the way they were done. He is one of two doctors that I've ever had in my life that earned my trust just by treating me like a knowledge-hungry human being. Ok, so....the nasal packing. Not going to lie, this part sucks. Its the… worst part of the procedure. Its mountains of gauze shoved into your nasal cavities tighter than a fat man's pants after the Chinese buffet. If you can believe it, it actually made my barely-existent nasal breathing even worse. I thought I was going to choke on my saliva and die at least once every 15 minutes. It was impossible to sleep. And this continued until the most frustrating 36 hours of my life were up. And then the nasal packing came out. And then I was good. And I haven't looked back It has been several months since this was done and I feel fantastic. I had very very little pain during the post-op process and have had no issues since. My breathing is better and my body feels better. I'm no longer abusing nasal decongestants and in fact, haven't used one since the procedure. I cannot recommend Dr. Dedio enough. He is a life changer, at least for me.
