Dr. Robert Derick, MD

I cannot trust him at all. He misdiagnosed my eye with glaucoma and performed a laser procedure which did not help at all. Then, he wanted to perform a major operation and his office asked me to pay a copay over $4k one month before the scheduled date. I was concerned he wanted to lock me up in case I changed my mind. I was glad I did not listen to him. Gradually, my eye symptom went away naturally. If a doctor does not care right or wrong for patients, the patients may suffer more if they get unnecesary treatments.

Excellent doctor; has done surgery on both eyes; both surgeries were successful; would recommend him highly. Very comfortable with having him as my physician.

Dr. Derick performed a laser peripheral iridotomy on my right eye over 8 months ago. Ever since then I have had a white line through my vision. Dr. Derick said I could get a tatoo on my eyeball to see if this would take care of the white line. As time progressed, my eye has been increasingly and excessively watering uncrontrollably and now I have blurry double vision in my right eye. I would never recommend this careless Dr. to anyone! When he was telling me he has been doing this procedure for 20 years, he was slumped in his chair like he was totally bored with it. I guess he is so confident in his skills that he doesn't need to be cautious when shooting a laser beam into peoples eyes.
