A truly caring physician, with a very difficult, yet rewarding career. I am so happy he's my doctor! Even though he's extremely busy he makes me feel like I'm his only patient at that time. A gift to the Central Coast and to all his patients!

Dr. Dichmann saved my husband's life. I was seeing the doctor for breast cancer and brought my husband along one visit. This talented oncologist recognized immediately a growth on my husband's shoulder as a rare cancer (misdiagnosed by his Primary Care for months--not unusual for rare problems). Wham, bam! Dr. Dichmann handled the insurance, Primary Care approvals, MRI, referrals...and 10 days later we were at UCLA having surgery by a world renowned surgeon for this rare disease. All of this thanks to a man who knew his craft and cared.This caring professional was leaving that weekend for vacation with his family, and stayed late to make sure that he read the MRI himself and saw to it that a specialist was found who would accept our insurance. Dr. Dichmann did not get paid for these efforts; he referred the work to specialists in this rare, aggressive cancer. Survival rates, I later learned, are dependent upon prompt treatment and institutions specializing in the disease. Thanks to Dr.… Dichmann, my husband received both. His cancer was caught at stage 3; stage 4 would have held little hope.Our family is forever indebted to this man, and we thank his family for sacrificing time with their husband and father so that others may live.
