Dr. Robert A Donato, DO

Dr. Donato was very attentive and genuine. Beyond his medical expertise, he seemed genuinely interested in how I was recovering and how well I was doing. He is very personable, and I was very fortunate to be able to have him as my surgeon!

The woman below me wrote, "Any woman who praises him clearly like to be mistreated." I COULD NOT DISAGREE MORE! It's insulting to me and to all other women. It is awful that people write those reviews because when I went to Dr. Donato's practice, he could not have helped me more. His staff was friendly and personable when I made an appointment. He goes THE EXTRA mile when explaining my situations by drawing diagrams and using a lingo I could understand and further explain it to my spouse when I got home. I drive a little over an hour just to receive his care and procedures. As for his individual one on one time with me, he truly cares about my well being and I know he does that for all other patients as well because when I was waiting in the waiting room, all the chatter in the room was positive and excited to see Dr. Donato. I am glad my child was brought into this world by a wonderful man.

Dr Donato is a terrible doctor. Besides the staff in general being unorganized and you are fed excuse after excuse for him being on average 2 hours late. My personal experience was anything but pleasant. I am a 27 year old mother of one who suffers from severe pelvic pain. I came to Dr. Donato in hopes of finding some answers out. Instead, he played this guessing with me. I was fed antibiotics for 4 months when there was NO infection. I am not talking simple meds, these are hard core nasty medicines. He lied to me about being able to help with a medicine I could afford, and he gave me the most expensive. I paid $200 out of pocket for these medications that he told me I didn't even need. Any time I would need to call the office, it took days to even get a response back if I ever got one. I was scheduled for a Laproscopy surgery because he felt I could have endometriosis. He was 3 hours late even getting to the O.R. Instead of helping my family understand what he had found, he told them… to go home and look them up on the internet. Isn't that his whole job? I have never been so dissatisfied with any doctor in my life. Totally unprofessional. I wouldn't take my worst enemy to this office. To top it all off, he said he had found A condition called Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. He told my mother that there is nothing that can be done for this and that a hysterectomy would be the only option. This is the condition he told my family to look up on the internet to even begin to understand what he was talking about. I did look it up, and I found he bold faced lied. There are simple procedures that can be done to fix the vein issue. Instead of being honest, he was willing to risk my body and just take everything out because he couldn't take enough time to explain. Given I waited 3 hours for him to operate I would think he could take 5 minutes and speak to my family. He should not have an office. Any woman who praises him clearly like to be mistreated.

Dr. Donato is an amazing doctor. I cannot say enough great things about him. He preformed my second c-section and my tubal ligation. My first c-section was done several years ago in a different state and my recovery from that was terrible ( staples were left in, spinal block not administered correctly, etc. ), so naturally i was terrified when it came to having my second section. I was completely blown away at how fast and easy my recovery from my second c-section was. The scheduled time for my c-section was moved due to an emergency, but Dr. Donato came in and personally spoke with me and apologized for my wait. He checked on me everyday and answered any questions i had after giving birth. He also gave me the option of staying in the hospital an extra day. However, the wait time at his office is absolutely terrible. Every appointment i had i waited at least 45 minutes or longer to be seen. I waited 2 and a half hours before finally leaving at my follow up appointment. I highly… recommend to anyone who is pregnant, go to Dr. Donato, just be prepared to wait.

Dr. Donato is an amazing OBGYN! He works morning until night almost everyday and performs many surgeries & that is why the wait can be a little long some days...Also accepts insurances that most others won't. He is very caring & takes the time to talk with you about any concerns you may have. He was very comforting to me during my c section, even though many complication arose. He did great with them & told me we would talk the next morning. He checked in on me every single day & always ordered any extra pain medicine I needed (asked for), even in the middle of the night. He told me he would do whatever it takes to make sure I am comfortable after my c-section... He didn't rush me out of the hospital(he even asked me if I wanted to stay a 4th night)... If you choose Dr. Donato, you will not be disappointed! His wife is an amazing doctor as well...saw her for unknown stomach problems/pain that no other doctor could figure out (She solved it!)2 of the best doctors around!

The midwives at the office are terrible. They don't have anything straight, and have no clue how to treat patients or keep them safe. I ended up in the Er with sever dehydration, and my kidneys not working correctly anymore . Even tho I go to all my appointment and have been complaining about the same pains. The midwives don't care enough to pay enough attention.

I saw Dr Donato from my 3rd Trimester and deliver. He was amazing and made me feel comfortable transferring into his practice. There is a wait time for his office but well worth it. I had a really good delivery expericne with him and I plan on going back with my next baby!

Had my first child in the Williamsport area and saw a team of doctors and midwives. Was a roll of the dice who you'd see for each appointment...and whoever was on duty that day would deliver the baby. No Thanks!! Heard about Dr Donato...friends gushed about him, except for the wait time in the office is way long. Well, the reason the wait time is long and there are so many women waiting is because he's worth it. He's THE very best. Saw him throughout my pregnancy & second delivery...he was beyond expectations in every way. He gets backed up because he takes the time with each patient, he focuses his ENTIRE attention on YOU for as long as you need. Don't let long wait times..or cancelled appointments scare you away...it means he's in demand. Would never go anywhere else now that I've been here!

Last 3 times I went to his office I waited 2 hours to see him. Women were lining up and had to wait outside the office in the hallway. I also had a condition and he requested that I research it on the Internet. I will be going to a different doctor with this pregnancy.
