Dr. Robert Nelson Earle, MD

He was the first psychiatrist I ever saw and that's the only reason I continued to see him. I have been going there for 5 years and I absolutely hate him. He makes me very uncomfortable. Once he thinks he knows what you need he will not budge. I was a minor when I first started going so my parents would attend visits with me. He would tell my parents that medication was the only option that would truly help. My parents were hesitant but eventually we started medication. I was on 3 different medications. I did see an improvement but I think it was mostly the therapy. I think he over-medicated me. I looked up normal dosages and I was prescribed the same amount an adult man would take, while I was a petite 16 year old girl. I remember not being able to stand after a few minutes of taking my sleeping pills. I would have to take them laying down otherwise I would pass out walking across the stairs from my parents room to my room. When I brought this up he said it was supposed to help me… sleep so it was doing its job. I started leaning off medication when I was 18, when I started college. When I turned 19 I didn't think I needed the medication anymore. I stopped taking medication. My parents wanted me to continue the medication because they like to control me, and they wouldn't know because I am in a different city attending college. It was easier to go to an appointment and be given medicine and not take it then fight them on it. I told him I did not need medication and it was easier to go then to fight my parents. He then told my parents that since they pay for everything they should make me take the medication if they thought it would help. This was extremely frustrating because one of the reasons I started therapy was because of my controlling parents. He then told me that they are the bankers and bankers can have stipulations. He told my parents its simple if I refuse to take medication they should stop supporting me financially. I know my parents would never do that until I graduate college because they want to help give us a life they never had. My parents even looked taken back by his comment, but now they keep using medication as a stipulation for financial security. They never did this before he mentioned it. I refuse to go back to him and I have found a new doctor. I know myself better than anyone, as I was the one to ask to start therapy. I never lied to them about my needs when it concerned my mental health, so he put thoughts in their head that I needed medication. I do not even see a therapist at this office, so he does not know what improvements I have made. He would prescribe whatever my parents asked for, and that is concerning. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM.

I have been seeing Dr. Earle for almost 6 years now. I truly look forward to our office visits. He has become like a true friend to me. I initially went to Dr. Earle with severe tinnitus and nerve issues that even a neurologist could not help me with. The medical Doctors all classified my disorders as anxiety even after neurological tests they had no explanation for. Dr. Earle has helped me with all my issues and most he has handled with natural supplements. He has truly turned my life around for the better !

I hear other patients in the waiting room complain that they try to make them pay more money than they are supposed to. I think they may be doing insurance scam and it makes me mad. Dr Earl is not a nice doctor. He is only there for the money. You will not get sympathy or concern from him.

I have tried for the last 2 weeks to make contact with Dr Earle about a prescription he should have filled for me over a month and a half ago. When I tried to call the office none of the ladies will help me only saying they will pass along a message. There has been no follow-up. I am currently in a manic state unable to sleep and unable to go to the bathroom (#2) because I've had two bowel resections do two stage 4 endometriosis and that is why I take klonopin. Dr. Earle will not refill it nor give me a reason why he just quit filling my prescription without my consent. I I still do not understand why he took this prescription away from me after being on it for 2 years. I paid a very hefty fee from another GI doctor who diagnosed me with abdominal epilepsy and suggested that I be on Klonopin to manage the symptoms. I do not appreciate being treated like garbage with no reconciliation of the matter.

This doctor just does not care about your pass history, and does talk to you as your an idiot with no value. I have been going to another doctor for many years, and he is retiring, but when I told Dr. Earle, he did not have any thoughts on this issue, other than I hear this thought a lot. He does talk to you, as he knows everything and you know nothing. However, I will look for another doctor, and see what happens. Good luck to all who see this doctor.

Do not go to this doctor. WORST DOCTOR EVER He verbally insulted me. . He treated me like I was a criminal and a liar, not a patient. He treated me like I was worthless. He wanted to know if I had been to jail or not. . I have a clean record with no convictions. I am on meds and this doctor refused to treat me after 2 months waiting.. He has a smirk on his face. He left me out in the cold with no doctor , since my other doctor quit and I waited 2 months to see him. He wants 30 dollars to get your records even though he won't see you. He is just in it for the money. . He should have been charged with felony abuse of a senior. I will be 65 this yr. He should be in jail for the way he talked to me. He tried to confuse me. No respect. Smirk on his face. He tried to make me feel like I was in court and was on trial for some crime. He is a complete jerk. Beware. Please do not go to this doctor or bring your children to this guy. If you ever had been abused, he wants to… know did you get abused lately. Then he will mentally abuse you while you are in his office. He refused to read my papers of 34 yrs with doctors.

when i called, i was actually trying to get an appointment with dr. coppedge as he had better ratings, but i was told that he wasn't taking on new patients (even though the internet said otherwise). but i needed a new doctor asap in order to continue medication, so i agreed to see dr. earle. his personality was AWFUL. he was smug, condescending, and rude. he smirked and seemed to be amused at my problems and my feeble (in his mind) attempts to solve them. he made me feel stupid for not having found solutions, when, HELLO, that's HIS job and what he's getting paid for. obviously i wouldn't be seeing a psychiatrist if my life was perfect. i already know it's not; i didn't need him to point it out. he spent 20 minutes with me, and when i left the appointment, my self esteem was even lower than it was when i arrived. i already suffer from depression and anxiety, and i don't need a psychiatrist to add to those problems. i filled out 10 pages of paperwork for nothing because i will NOT be… returning. honestly, i'm shocked at the generally high ratings. the positive reviews don't sound like they're even talking about the person that i met.

He is not doing a thing but sending us out into the abyss with scripts, he neutral (no humor or I guess they are not to have any humor) and non-therapeutic, his love affair is with the machine he types on. Mentally I am most certain I'm not the only patient that has probably become more of a nut case under his care!!

My son was his patient, dr never contacted me after son's suicide. He didn't care.
