Dr. Robert James Evans III, MD

One of the rudest Doctors I've ever come in contact with.

If you have interstitial cystitis,this is your doctor. I should have gone to him right away, as most other urologists are not specialists in this condition. It is worth the wait for this physician.

I've been a patient of Dr. Evans going on 10yrs. I saw 5 other urologists over 3yrs before I got to him, and I thought they must all be arrogant, uncaring, and not really interested in figuring out what was wrong with me. Dr. Evans changed all that. He listened, asked relevant questions, reviewed my prior history with other dr's, explained his opinion of my situation, and offered options. He answered all my questions- and I had a LOT by then- suggested a series of tests to determine what my problem was, and provided lots of educational materials for me to review and compare with my symptoms so we ( he actually said "we"!) could find out what was happening. After years of urologists doing nothing but treating symptoms and performing surgery (badly) and not listening, I was in shock. Here was a specialist treating me like I mattered to him and who seemed to really want to figure out what was wrong. Which he did in shockingly short order. He did some blood work, ran some tests, and did a… couple of different exams and gave me an accurate dx within a couple of months of my first visit. After searching for years, I finally had a dx and a dr who was interested in treating me, not just doing short-term fixes when my symptoms were bad. Since I started seeing Dr. Evans, he's performed 11 surgeries and many other procedures on me, always with enormous compassion, care, and superb skill. He literally saved my life in 2015 when I had a sudden, very serious issue that put me in ICU for days, followed by more days in the hospital. He is a truly brilliant dr and an extraordinarily caring person. Having dealt with many specialists over the years, I can confidently say he is a unicorn- a highly acclaimed, fiercely intelligent, deeply dedicated dr who sincerely cares for his patients and will take as much time as necessary to treat his patients appropriately for their needs, despite the constant pressure on drs to hurry up and cram as many people as possible into a day. He is truly the best doctor I have ever seen. He embodies all the qualities you want in a dr: compassion, listening well, incredible skill, intelligence, experience, knowledge of his field, ability to communicate clearly; and with all his awards and recognition, he remains approachable, kind, and humble. More doctors should emulate him; he stands as an example of how to be an extraordinary doctor and an extraordinary human being. I am so grateful that he's my doctor- there is no one better. He is worth waiting for, learning from, and listening to. Like my title says: best doctor EVER.

Dr. Evans has taken care of me for over 20 yrs, he's the kindest , most compassionate Dr and person. There also not a smarter, more knowledgeable IC Dr in this country. Because of that I've had access to any and all IC treatments long before many I know. I trust him with my life , I think that says it all

It may take a little time but worth the wait. Dr. Evans is very concerned about each person and takes the time to help you understand what you condition includes. I am thankful I have found someone that can help me .

Suffered for 17 months seen 7 drs...done my own research found Dr Evans. First visit I knew he was the Dr that I had been looking for. He ordered test hydrodenstion and cystoscopy, to confirmed that I had IC. He then talked to me about treatment plans. For 17 months I seen those 7 Dr's none of them ever took the time to find out what was wrong. Very thankful for Dr Evans

Came from out of state, he is very overbooked and cannot take any time to properly go over things with you as a new patient. His cure all is do home bladder instills as he believes in them 100%! The wait was horrible and I had a flight to catch. He might be good if his staff didn't overbook him. And then they asked if I wanted to reschedule that day, are you kidding? I just paid 800 to get there! crazy

Dr Evans diagnosed and treated my husbands issues when several other doctors andmedical facilities. Could not help him.

I found Dr. Evans to be very compassionate, very knowledgeable and took time to investigate the symptoms and problems. His nurse Michelle is also very nice and also knowledgeable and gets right on taking care of things. I definitely recommend this MD!!!

Dr Evans is the best you will find. He treated my interstitial cystitis and changed my life. I no longer have pain, frequency or urgency anymore. I would highly recommend him
