Dr. Roberto A Fernandez, MD

Was referred to Dr Fernandez from Bay Area ER with a severed tendon, was told he was expecting me. When I called his office the receptionist wouldn't accept me without a referral and asked who my insurance was with. I told them I could use the VA as 100% disabled vet or Humana/ Tricare Prime as a military retiree. receptionist told me without the referral no appointment. Needless to say, my finger is holding on by 2 stiches. After 4 hours, was able to get Humana/Tricare Prime referral to his office. Only to have the receptionist and then office manager state, since I mentioned the VA as a possible source for referral, they told me that DR Fernandez would not except me. Do not use Dr, Fernandez, his office has horrible customer relationship and definitely not Veteran friendly!

I come to Dr. Fernandez from another well known plastic surgeon whom I like very much. To My surprise, my first reconstruction failed after my breast cancer diagnosis. I had an expander put in 1 wk ago & when I say I had NO PAIN after surgery, I meani did not even need a Tylenol. My surgery was bandaged up very well & to be honest, I can not even feel my drain. Dr. Fernandez is awesome & as if not, I would highly recommend & will definitely use him again.

He is a great Dr. He is easy to talk to and he did a great job fixing my injury.

Robert Fernandez did surgery on my hand and completely messed it up I'm in extreme pain everyday please do not use this surgery doctor

Outstanding job, great bedside manner. Need to clone Dr. Fernandez and make him into a general practitioner as well....would love to find a general practice doctor in Corpus Christi who is as knowledgeable, personable, competent, caring, thorough and professional as Dr. Robert Fernandez. Excellent Physician!
