Dr. Robert I Fink, MD

I was put on a high dose of Valium without any explanation or discussion about the devastating effects of using this medication beyond 2 weeks. Please be aware of the horrible effects of these drugs before you take them. This is not a responsible doctor.

I saw Dr Fink several times and was given a medication that has life changing side effects. At no time did Dr Fink explain the dangers of this drug. I thought doctors were to be trusted to do no harm. I was clearly nieve. Please be careful about what you are given, because Dr Fink does not inform you in any way. His own staff apologized to me because of "the road I was led down." My current GP said he his known for prescribing extremely high dosages. Please beware! Better yet just stay away.

The following is just a portion of an email from Dr. Fink to a client after he asked him to resend a fax to someone a second time because the recipient was having phone issues: "This is f*cking unbelievable. I have so much to do and not have to do things over and over again. Yes I will do it I was at the office 13 hours today and tomorrow is my day off but I will go in tomorrow and do it and I will also type a very long and involved narrative for you I will just get it down and send it and then I'm going to leave the f*cking country and get away from all this crap for a while it's just too f*cking much. Being a psychiatrist is not all that it's cracked up to be. Too many people needing to many things - now. Now is not an acceptable answer or I will do it as soon as I can is not acceptable answer. The only truly acceptable answer is oh sure of course I will do that thank you so much for letting me help you. I have lost sight of the fact that I am not supposed to have any life… of my own. I am to be a devoted humble servant." So much for compassion.

I saw Dr. Fink a while back and instead of spending time getting to know a patient and being concerned with them he immediately buries the patient under several anti-anxiety drugs and provides little or no useful counsel to the patient. People like this give psychiatry a horrible name, do not go to this person research a good psychiatrist that knows how to treat people and minds. Yes medication is part of it, but his approach is obviously lazy and questionable.

I had seen Dr. Fink for several years at 3 different locations in Everett, WA. He actual saw me for 2-3 years after I no longer had insurance and little to pay for services. I have had a very difficult time finding anyone that cared and took care of me like he had. It has been a nightmare trying to find anyone that doesn't judge or discriminate. He knows what works and is willing to go to bat for you when you are down.

He believes any sad story that is told to him.
