Robert E. Foster, M.D. is a member of the vitreoretinal service at Cincinnati Eye Institute (CEI). His undergraduate education was at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan where he received a degree in Biology, graduated from the Honors College, and was named among the Top 25 Graduating Seniors. He went to medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School, graduating in 1988. His internship was at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was selected as the Intern of the Year. He completed an Ophthalmology Residency at Cleveland Clinic serving as Chief Resident in his final year.

Dr. Foster has taken exceptional care of our mother. He has made certain that everyone understands what is happening with her eyes. Dr. Foster and the staff at CEI are doing everything they can to make sure our mother does not go blind. Dr. Foster is not only a technically talented Doctor but a caring man making sure his patient is comfortable and treated with respect and kindness.

Dr Foster is the best retina doctor in the area. He is professional, will answer all your questions and layout a plan for answering your problem

Dr. Foster is an absolutely fabulous caregiver for my vision and a person I consider a friend, even though we have no social or non-office contact.

Doctor Foster is very professional, explains each procedure and has recommended the right medicine for each issue with my eyes.

CEI and Dr. Robert Foster are amazing, The effort of the company to treat customers promptly respectfully and with kindness is wonderful...and Dr. Foster is always polite helpful knowledgeable supportive and overall just fantastic! I have recommended him to many others and trust him completely. Every referral he has made has shown the same skills and approach of respect/kindness. Everyone I have interacted with at CEI has been wonderful but Dr. Foster -- he saved my sight.! As a nurse for 44 years I know quality medicine and as a patient appreciate the customer needs.....CEI and DR. Foster excel in both!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Foster for 14 years for macular degeneration. He has my complete confidence. He is clear and patient with me during consultation. He is helpful and answers my questions and concerns with empathy. I hope he doesn't retire anytime soon.
