Dr. Robert Joseph Fucigna, MD

A very unprofessional eye doctor who can not diagnose an eye condition. All he does is talk a lot about nonsense but he does not help with your eye problem. He will have you keep coming back for the same issue so he can keep charging you copays and bill your insurance. Unfortunately, I went back several times with no relief. I finally started seeing an eye doctor in Stamford who is very professional and helped me tremendously after one visit.

Made a 4:00 appointment for my first visit today which was confirmed by phone. Showed up at 3:50 to do paperwork etc. In the next 30 minutes I watched 4 other clients come in after me and get taken into the exam room area. Asked the desk why I wasn't taken in before them. Was told that I was an "emergency" appointment. I asked what that meant? I was told that my appointment was made yesterday or the day before. Not possible, yesterday was Sunday, day before Saturday, office was closed. I asked how much longer I had to wait. They told me my appointment was 4:30 and I had an hour more to wait. I asked why I wasn't informed that my appointment was changed to 4:30. Again I was told it was because the appointment was made at the last minute. I would have had to wait until after 5:30 to see the dr. Very disappointed. I could have gone somewhere else and gotten treatment for my problem. Doesn't make sense to treat people that way.

More interested in whining about our "socialist" President than taking care of your eye injury. Spends 5 minutes looking at your eyes, 10 minutes ranting about how we are becoming Communists. I guess if you love Fox News and listen to Alex Jones you will feel at home in this office.

I had gone to a big conglomerate of eye doctors, all of who had excellent credentials. The doctor there told me he just could not improve my vision with my monovision contacts because my distance would suffer if he improved my reading.I tried Fucigna because he came highly recommended by a physician friend of mine. On the very first visit he worked with me and had me try 3 different lenses over 3 weeks. Finally I could see well into the distance as well as read fine print. The difference is that he cared and he took the time. All the big shots at the other place had been too busy to care! I've been with Fucigna for 3 years and highly recommend him.
