Dr. Robert Learmouth Gordon, MD

To whoever wrote the review that Dr Gordon has no Emergency Room related experience or residency.....I worked years ago at Woonsocket Hospital where Dr Gordon was a resident, regarded by his peers as excellent. He was concerned that many people with no primary care physician would come to the hospital ER with sore throats and other minor problems. Together with Dr Frank Gulla, also an ER MD, after much hard work to get the insurance companies to agree, opened an urgent care center at Airport Plaza and maintained an excellent reputation for many years. In later years the center was moved to Warwick Avenue. I have been there myself, referred others, my Neurosurgeon boss at the time sent his wife and family there. We were all impressed and are to this day. There are several Dr Robert Gordons listed, and apparently you checked the wrong one. To the best of my knowledge he is not, nor has he ever been a pathologist. By the way, I have an appointment there tomorrow.

I reviewed Dr. Gordons credentials at mass board of medicine. He is residency trained in pathology. He has no residency training in emergency medicine, no complete resiliency in family or internal medicine, no pediatric training. After medical school in France he performed 3 years residency training to become a pathologist. That training literally consists of analyzing tissue under a microscope. The residency part of a physician training is where they learn the great majority of their skills. I am concerned he is inadequately trained and may miss underlying emergent symptoms.
