Robert S Gotfried, DO

My wife and I have always preferred DOs. My late mother-in-law was Superintendent of surgery at the now gone Parkview hospital. We knew a lot of doctors. Dr. Gotfried is one of the smartest, knowledgeable, and skilled physicians we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I need to find where he has moved to.

I visited him for arm pain. I asked him if he can tell what the cause is of my arm pain. He could not tell and didn't give test or exam either, instead he just wanted me to take pain pill. That was not helpful at all. I wanted to know the root cause and treatment, NOT temporally taking pain med.

I had to be a patient with him even tho I heard some bad things from Dr. Gotfried, because I was in a rush to see a doctor and he was avlb and near my home. That was such a regretful decision I made. My experiences from him are rude, not caring, never listen and very disrespectful. How can a doctor diagnose your issue without listen to you and run tests??? Avoid him.

very rude and he assumes ppl. not based on what reality. He write terrible EMR for you and make it look like you just imagine you have disease. He won't listen how patients feels and thinks. He is the worst doctor ever seen. Definitly avoid him.

Dr. Gotfried has a terrible bedside manner ... he doesn't listen when you speak, he speaks over you, interrupts, and is dismissive of your concerns. He is extremely arrogant and speaks down to you. He actually walked out of the hospital room twice right while I was asking him a question. I would not recommend this doctor. There are many other good doctors in this practice.

Dr. Gotfried has been our doctor for over a decade now. When he left Family Healthcare (which became Hopewell) and he went to Valley View in Waverly, we followed him. He always gave us all of the time we needed. Over the years he got to know us well. We were just informed that Dr. G has left Valley View in Waverly and they claim they don't know where he went to. It is very important to my family that we keep him as our family doctor and will follow him anywhere within a reasonable drive.
