Dr. Robert Barry Grossman, MD

Dr. Grossman pushed hard for a surgery I didn't need and slowed my healing by never recommending physical therapy. He said inappropriate things to me during office visits and incorrectly billed me for over $1,000 for services and products I never even had. He mis-read my x-rays and I was advised by another surgeon to not ever go to him again, which I didn't.

Appointments were easily made and staff very cooperative. Great physician practitioner who works with him

said I needed a partial knee but went in to find I had to have complete replacement. Dr. was excellent and progressive I was happy with results.

Had 2 scopes of the knee 18 months apart. Then ironically another 18 months later it was discovered I needed a partial knee replacement. I still have the pieces he put in CROOKED causing my tibia to collapse and basically walking around on a broken leg for yet another year as I could not find another doctor that would touch his work. Also ironically all my x rays VANISHED from the office for the exact amount of time I could have sued for malpractice. When I found another doctor to now do a total knee replacement. Guess what. There were my x rays. This man took 4 years of my life away. I pray I never see him as I already went after him in the hall of the old place her worked at once. Gee I wonder why he is not there anymore. Jerk

Dr Grossman doesn't listen. This resulted in the wrong procedure with unsuccessful results. I now see a new doctor to repair my knee. Grossman is too arrogant to listen, too unorganized to be effective and too set in his ways to treat you as an individual instead of a "knee". He is the worst kind of doctor - the kind who thinks that they know your body better than you and therefore your contributions are disregarded. Lastly, keep an eye on your bill for 'mistakes'. Better yet, don't go!.

Dr. Grossman takes his time with me, explains everything thoroughly, doesn't rush right into surgery and fixed some very serious problems with perfect results. His staff takes prompt care of my paperwork, scheduling appointments, procedures, getting xray, CT scan, EMG, MRI reports, as well as, dealing with my insurance companies. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Yes, there was a torn meniscus, but 6 months after surgery & still in excruciating pain, I am told I need another arthroscope. 2nd opinion reveals a much bigger problem with my bone & a need for a full knee replacement. Phone calls are rarely returned ~ wait time in waiting room can be up to an hour ~ rude staff. "lets try this" is another way of saying "I will keep making $ off your knee without fixing the problem".

Bad experience all around. I am not happy with the outcome. Unfriendly office staff, severe lack of communication. Takes three phone calls to receive a return call, if any at all. The one good thing that I can say is that the doctor is very pleasant. Visits were way too rushed. 4 months after surgery I am still in pain, 75% worse than before. I now find out that I need a knee replacement either partial or full. I am seeing another doctor at this time.
