Gaslighter and horribly rude. Dismissed my severe neurological illness and called it a “somatic disorder.”

I was misdiagnosed by this doctor several times and put on very heavy medication for years in which I couldn't function. When I finally realized he was wrong in his diagnoses, I wanted to speak about it and he dodged my calls/didn't answer my emails. Complete nightmare doctor who has NO idea what he's doing. Not to mention charging $500 per half hour for this.

An organization and my therapist independently recommended him. He is friendly and smart and figured out a combination of 2 medications that has been working great for my anxiety and adhd.

Customizes medicinal plan for each client and is always on target with the specific emotional issue on hand. Willing to work hand in hand with clients psychologist. Answers clients e-mails inquiries promptly. Very knowledgeable and confidential. Up to date with latest trend in medication.

Dr. Grossman is truly a rare find of a combination of professionalism & friendliness. HIS QUICK & LIGHTING ASSESMENT of the difficult situation with our son was truly remarkable. He is not rushed & gives you all the time you need. He spends all the time explaining to the patient & us the parents the reason & conclusion to the care to be given. He is always reachable & returns inquiries very quickly. We thank him very much, and highly recommend him.

Dr. Grossman has been very helpful throughout all the years that I have known him. He does not give up on his patients and sticks with them through thick and thin. He is patient and listens carefully. He responds to emails in a very timely fashion, often immediately. When medication is needed, he responds quickly. I would highly recommend him. He is very nice and knowledgeable.

In my many years of experience as a psychiatric patient, I write with confidence that Dr. Rob Grossman is one of the outstanding psychiatrists and psychopharmacologists in Manhattan. I have been working with Dr. Grossman for two years and his expertise in the area of trauma at Mt. Sinai Hospital - including PTSD and complex trauma from childhood and how this relates to mood disorders - resulted in a more accurate diagnosis of my condition and a better treatment protocol than in any of my past experiences with psychiatrists from the other major hospitals in NYC. I appreciate that Dr. Grossman communicates effectively during or after each session with my cognitive behavioral therapist to ensure a coordinated medication and treatment approach. Dr. Grossman is patient with me, responsive, and accessible. I also find Dr. Grossman to be conservative and careful in prescribing medications which includes keeping careful notes on his computer so that he can refer back to them, switching… medications if one is not working well, encouraging excellent self-care, and trying "natural" supplements. Dr. Grossman's office functions efficiently to ensure good scheduling, proper prescriptions to pharmacies and patients getting their medicines quickly. I recommend Dr. Grossman wholeheartedly especially if you are a patient willing to invest the time, money and work necessary - both in his office and outside of it - that is essential to the healing of the brain.

Horrible doctor with terrible bedside manners. He gave me 4 different diagnosed in a span of 3 months. Spoke to family without my permission. Doing great since I switched doctors

Dr grossman has no personality and cares more about his money than the pt. He does not give the time of day to really hear the full story. Any question will require an appointment meaning more money. He sets is appointments up back to back so that no one can get even an extra second to clarify anything. STAY FAR AWAY

Dr. R. Grossman is very good at figuring out the right medication quickly but is not so involved in patient progress.
