He mutilates his patients' sexual functions by cuting their clitorual hood without patient consent, damaging the nervs whose anathomy he doesn't know. He practises labiaplasty without knowing clitorual anathomy. He refuses to take responsability, he lies.

When I was barely 18, Dr. Gunby completely amputated my labia minora and cut the dorsal nerves of my clitoris in a clitoral hood reduction performed without my consent, robbing me of clitoral sensation permanently. This is functionally equivalent to FGM involving clitoral amputation. No sexual risks were ever mentioned to me. I never would have had surgery if I thought there were any. In the years following, he has blamed me, lied repeatedly, and denied the clitoral hood reduction. Because I have visible scars and distortion, he insists it must have been done by someone else. I see everyone is calling this man “nice” and “caring.” Perhaps he is, at least until he makes a mistake. Upon making a mistake, this man will do all he can to lie, deny, and blame the victim. The fact is he did a surgery he was not trained to do on anatomy he didn’t know. He mutilated a teenage girl. He blamed her. And he continues to lie about what he did. While women my think this isn’t… relevant bc they aren’t seeking surgery on their genitals, his actions speak to his character.

Dr Robert Gunby has been my personal physician for decades now. At this point he has delivered not only my children, but my grandchildren. Generations of my family have come to love his honesty and caring. If you have a loss, he is there to support you all the way. Hard to find these days, I owe him my life. God bless Dr. Gunby!

I switched to Dr Gunby when I was 39 weeks and 6 days pregnant with our daughter - after a 39 week visit with my previous OB revealed that she wasn't comfortable with my VBAC plan after all and planned to give me a routine episiotomy, use pitocin to speed up my labor, and even discussed a C-section with me. It was very stressful to switch to a new OB just a few days before my due date and Dr Gunby was extremely kind, caring and restored my confidence. He reassured me that he would be there for me at my birth - and he was! His bedside manner is that of a gentle grandpa - albeit a very knowledgable and experienced one! He sat quietly in the room, speaking softly and reassuring me that I was doing great. And our beautiful VBAC baby girl was born with no interventions - just as God intended. I am so grateful to Dr Gunby that he restored my confidence in my body's natural ability to birth a baby and will forever feel indebted to him for his tremendous compassion and understanding. How… wonderful it would be if Dallas had more Dr Gunby's!!!

Dr. Gunby has been my physician for over 25 years. I am a registered nurse and have worked side by side with him. No one is more dedicated or cares more about their patients than he does - and he does it with humor and humility. He does tend to run a little behind sometimes, but that is because there is a patient with a problem who needs extra care. I don't mind waiting because I know I will get the time and attention that I need. Worth waiting for, he is simply the best. Thank you Dr. Gunby.
