Dr. Robert William Handy, MD

Dr Handy does not listen! With a badly broken wrist and 18 weeks in a cast after surgery, I complained of sever pain and swelling from week 1 to 18. I have had pain before, knee surgeries other breaks from sports but this was nearly unbearable. He kept saying I was over reacting. After 12 weeks of PT the PT and my Chiropracter agree the wrist was not set correctly. Dr Handy's response to ongoing limitations and pain were "what do you expect for a woman of your age" I was 45 only 45 and working out every day in the best shape of my life. He has no bed side manner, no compassion and does not listen to his patient. One year later I was told by a second opinion my only option was to re-break the wrist and re-set it and have another 3-6 month recovery.

Misdiagnosed me. Sold me expensive visco shots , (I’m a 37 yr old woman) that didn’t treat my injury. He’s in it for a cash grab, not helping people. I needed emergency surgery the whole 5 months to remove a loose body of cartilage in my knee, and he talked to me like I was crazy. Had to go to Art Bartolozzi for real treatment. Handy’s office is dirty and most of the staff doesn’t care.

Dr. Handy is very personable and has a great bedside manner. He has just recently completed surgery on my second knee and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have arthroscopic knee surgery.

Dr. Handy operated on both of my shoulders. He did a fantastic job. He is very personable and caring. I would recommend him to everyone.
