Dr. Robert Babak Imani, MD

Dr. Imani is great but his office manager, Tiffany is incredibly rude, combative and disrespectful. She won't let me make appointments for my dad even though that does not require documentation. She also said she would call me back after speaking to the doctor and never did. Mind you, my dad is suffering from depression in the meanwhile. Again, the doctor is great, but Tiffany makes the experience very unpleasant. Total deal breaker!!!!

Wonderful Doctor. I am surprised by the other reviews. Dr. Imani is very straightforward and does not sugarcoat things, I really appreciate this. I believe others may come looking for someone to tell them the things they want to hear-not need to hear. However this would not make him a good doctor, correct? He is extremely compassionate and very knowledgeable. I have been coming with my young son and am now a patient myself. He has turned our life around! his assistant is very kind and extremely helpful.

This so called doctor is the most unprofessional, rude, condescending, arrogant a*****e in California. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This man should not even have a license.

I visited Dr. Imani and was unsatisfied with the level of care and service he provided. I visited him regardless of his poor reviews because he is the closest psychiatrist to me. I should have sucked it up and drove to Valencia. Imani is hands down the worst "doctor" I have ever come across and I've visited many physicians in the past. I'm appalled that a man like this is actually practicing medicine. He was treating me for depression, despite me not having problems with depression. I also didn't have a problem with anxiety but once again he jumped to conclusions and diagnosed me with depression and anxiety. I told him that I have a problem with restlessness and I guess this means anxiety. He led me to answer questions the way he wanted me to, by using his clever questioning techniques he diagnose me with depression! I don't have a problem with depression, I'm paraphrasing here but he asked me if I ever feel sad and I thought "who doesn't". When I visited him today as a follow up… appointment, it started off well. Things took a turn for the worst when I told him I didn't like the way the current medication made me feel. He prescribed me depression and anxiety medication and guess what? It wasn't making me feel good because I don't need to be taking that Me: "I don't like how this medication makes me feel" Imani: "Your brain doesn't gage improvements very well" Me:" I feel this medication is making things worse for me" Imani: "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" "I'm not prescribing you medication A or B" Me: "I never asked you for medication A or B, I just said I didn't like how this made me feel". Imani: "you need to get organized" "Here is this medication but its not as good as the one you are on now". (pulls out phone) " here is the medication C I'm prescribing you" (I don't even know how to interpret the data on his phone he is showing me) Me: "thanks I guess" BTW there isn't more to this story, in case you're wondering I didn't go to med school so why would a Psychiatrist ask me what medication I want? 250 dollars an hour is what he charges! Spent 10 minutes with him but I'm sure my insurance will get billed for the full amount. Had he spent the full hour with me to properly diagnose me correctly, I wouldn't be walking out of there with a medication that wasn't what I needed. Do not take your children to him, I'm 31 years old and if he did this to me then your child doesn't stand a chance! This man needs to revisit his Hippocratic oath. Do yourself a favor, suck it up and drive to a reputable doctor.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Imani for a couple of years now and he has been nothing but a great doctor. He is attentive to your problems and listens to what you have to say. Maria and the front office are wonderful and very helpful. I would recommend Dr. Imani to anyone.

Dr Imani is a good doctor, he listens to your problem and cares about his patients.

Dr. Imani was the most unprofessional and rude doctor I have ever been to in my life. I had a nervous break down and was advised I needed to see a psychiatrist. Being that there are only a few in my area I booked an appointment with Dr. Imani. He never asked me what the reason was for my breakdown, and the questions he did ask was like a check list to give a quick diagnosis. He prescribed me three medications and sent me home. I researched the medications and was stunned that he would proscribe me meds that would leave me in a somber state all day being that I had two younger children (which I advised him I had). On the next visit I advised him that I did not feel that these meds were best for me. I asked if I could talk to him and explain the reason for my breakdown. Dr. Imani looked at me and said "do you see that degree on my wall? I went to school longer to get that, I did not go to school to listen to your problems. If you want to discuss your problems you need to see a therapist.… My job is to give you medicine and send you back to work". After that visit I called my employer and advised what he had told me and was given a referral to a new doctor, but since I was still out on leave Dr. Imani still had to fill out my disability papers for my work. Well he failed to do so, so I had to file an appeal. When my employer called him to question why he had not returned my paperwork, he lied and said he never took me out of work and said that he told me to go back to work, when in fact I had a letter signed by him on his letterhead stating that he took me out of work for 3 weeks. Dr. Imani is unethical and in my experience he showed that he does not care about the well being of the patient. I would never refer him to anyone that I know or care about.

Bumped my appointment 3 time made me wait 20 minutes past my appointment time (still waiting) settling in a waiting room with people talking about family and friends in jail. Some special needs kid is talking to random people asking random question. This place is a joke.

They Dont Care about the Patient its all about the money....
