Dr. Robert William Irwin, MD

I could not recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Irwin to anyone. I booked a physical therapy appointment and the soonest available was EIGHT months out. Obviously they had no room to take me and should not have bothered to book it, because after I had already waited for FIVE months they called to cancel and could not get me in sooner than FOUR months later than the original date. It’s of course laughable that I would ever see that appointment. The status that Dr. Irwin is “accepting new patients” is not accurate, as far as I can tell.

I can't he is a doctor. He is one of the rudest people I've ever met. He is insensitive and incompetent. The University of Miami should be ashamed.

My sister had issues obtaining her referral from her PCP, up to the point of her having to cancel her appointment. an hour later, 20 minutes before what would have been her appointment, she gets a call from her PCP stating that they got the referral. Due to her swollen leg, MRI showing tears and major problems on the knee and the urgency, she tells me to call office to see if she can still come. They tell me that the late policy is 30 minutes (she will get there 23 minutes late per GPS), she gets there at the front desk exactly 30 minutes late; on policy, and still not being her fault as they had given her a slightly different address, but again, arriving within policy, and Doctor plainly tells office to tell her that he won't see her. This is unacceptable behavior, no moral code, no humanity and just plainly disgusting attitude. I completely understand patients that don't give a crap and just don't show or arrive an hour late because they woke up late; but this was NOT the case. … It was the fault of my sisters PCP office. This is just a person, not to call him anything else (Dr. Irwin), that shouldn't be in a "life saving" career.

Great personality. Good questioner. Took the time necessary to evaluate my situation. I felt completely comfortable and at ease with him.
