Dr. Robert E Kalb, MD

As an employer, you may not be fully aware of the personal history and ongoing concerns surrounding your employee, Elizabeth Ann Fildes (also known as Jonas). Since 2018, she has diverted funds so New York State child support cannot collect for a disabled little girl. So happens to be her boyfriend now husband. NYS Child Support disabled children collect child support until age 26. In legal statements, Ms. Fildes identifies herself as an automotive expert. Her willful deceit to take NYS child support money has involved her in constant legal issues. She has significantly upgraded her lifestyle that she's never experienced. This includes traveling to Europe, Las Vegas, Arizona, Florida, Mediterranean cruises and luxury purchases. All the while the child continues to face unmet needs and is currently being represented by her own attorney in various courts. This situation is heartbreaking, especially when considering the vulnerable child involved. It raises serious questions about her… moral compass and responsibilities, issues that affect not just families, but also the communities and workplaces connected to those involved. Ms. Fildes has recently faced a $50,000 federal penalty for bankruptcy fraud related to concealed assets. Currently, according to public sources, she is under investigation by multiple agencies, including the IRS, New York State Tax authorities, and the Attorney General’s Office. As someone with influence and responsibility in your organization, you may want to be informed of these matters—both out of ethical concern and to ensure that your workplace reflects integrity, empathy, and accountability. A sad shame that your employee would degrade herself to such level of inhuman decency

Dr. Kalb is a very excellent, considerate & caring Dr..He is very concern about his patients in helping heal you or atleast to help with your pain. Dr. Kalb will sit 1st & explain options & treatments so you understand what He is wants to do to heal or lessen your pain. Dr. Kalb also says don't HISATATE to call if any questions or problems. I wish alot more Drs. were as concerns with their patients. Dr. Kalb staff is is very helpful & thoughtful too.

I was referred to Dr.Kalb by an immunologist at U of B whom I greatly respect because "he's my own personal dermatologist." After my appointment all I can say is that I'm sure Dr. Kalb gives 100% to his fellow colleagues but not so much to the average person. I'm thoroughly confused by the few positive ratings here, in fact it makes me wonder if the doctor judges his clients based on perception of income, intellect, social standing, etc., rather than patient care. Both my husband & I are college educated, however I've been ill for two years; my husband lost his job b/c I require constant care & our clothing- being the least important necessity on our budget -has begun to reflect our decreasing funds. Dr. Kalb- when he finally appeared, briefly -looked us up & down w/ actually contempt. Since I was referred by a colleague & encouraged to provide background info to help the doctor understand the situation, I'd prepared a brief summary of the onset and evolvement of symptoms as well as… pictures of the first lesions for reference. All in all, perhaps a 3 minute read. The intern assured us it would be looked at. Then, his intern took the little sheet of paper which was sent beforehand where "you" sum up, succinctly, the reason for your visit & left to hand the paper to the doctor. 15 minutes or so later, Dr. Kalb appeared & w/o introducing himself lifted my gown w/o a warning & looked at perhaps 3 of my 50+ lesions then declared I had a "rash." "What kind of rash can last two years, cause hallucinations, blackouts, muscle spasms, headaches, loss of vision, hair loss, elevated WBC, urinary incontinence, tremors, seeping, confusion, memory loss, trouble walking and intense muscle pain?" His response was to, I'm not exaggerating, poke one of the lesions painfully & repeatedly while stating, "See this? See this? This is a RASH." With that he left the room. His intern stayed behind to tell us that the doctor would be in his office & he'd let us know what the doctor's recommendations re: treatment were. After about 10 minutes, the intern returned & informed us that Kalb's treatment plan was "light therapy (which I've researched & seems promising for many things except for those which involve acute &/or severe health complications, such as my case)." Light therapy can take up to 6 weeks to MAYBE see results & my lesions were increasing DAILY. Light therapy is also quite expensive & requires 3 visits per week and, as stated, can take as long as six weeks to maybe see results. I have medicare, medicaid and a paid supplemental; I cannot help but think that Dr. Kalb saw me not as a patient but rather as another person he could put into his machine for an extended period of time and be guaranteed full payment for each visit. He was rude, he physically hurt me, he did not let me speak, he did not evaluate me in the exam room but via a one-sided piece of paper in his office and he spent, in total, maybe 6 minutes with me. I would advise anyone with a complicated issue to run, not walk away from Dr. Kalb. He should be ashamed of himself but I doubt his character allows him that capacity.

Out of all the times I visited the office, I only saw Dr. Kalb once. He seems to be a good doctor (from the short time he was actually in the room). My issue was the staff: receptionists, billers, nurses. Whoever answers the phone needs to go. She is rude and made me so uncomfortable when I would call; eventually I stopped bothering. My one medication required a prior authorization and it was a time sensitive medication. When I called to inquire about it, the office staff was rude and claimed they sent it and said that I needed to have my insurance call them because it was not their problem anymore. My insurance tried contacting them and even sent me a letter saying that they tried contacting the office multiple times and were unsuccessful. Needless to say, I was never able to get my medication. I called to cancel an appointment and left a message the day before and included that I was never able to get my medication. They starting calling me saying I missed it (so clearly they do not… listen to their voicemails) and I would not be able to get a refill on my medication (the one that I was never able to get and I reminded them in the message). Communication is poor, they are not patient centered, and the office workers, including the nurses, are overall rude. It is sad that a doctor with such a "great" reputation has poor staff. I will never return here again and I will be sure to never recommend Dr. Kalb.

I met the Doctor for the first and he was very courteous and informative. His and bedside manner was great.

Dr.Kalb is one of the most competent physicians in Buffalo.He is an excellent diagnostician .he is very caring and considerate.I wish all my doctors were like him

I have been a patient with dr Kalb for 12 years. I've probably only seen him 6 times in my 12 years. But recently I missed an appointment due to my 6 year old son goin in to septic shock and being indused in a coma. Forgot to call on the day but explained the situation and Dr. Kalb after 12 years of being loyal dropped me as a patient for a no call no show. Did not care about my family issues and does not care about you as a person. All he wants is your money. They schedule unnecessary appointments just so they can bill your insurance and take ur copay. Good luck Robert Kalb. What goes around comes around. I have a chronic skin problem and now I have to wait 2 months b4 I can get in to a new dermatologist I'm sure I will have some Nasty fareups. relies too much on his nurse practitioner or the nurse that sees his patients and acts like a doctor. disregarded a melanoma that existed and just kept getting bigger and became more dangerous to the patient
