ChatGPT ChatGPT Diagnosed with severe sleep apnea by Dr. Karmen, I miraculously lost it in the last two months. Eager to share insights for medical research, I called for a conversation with Dr. Karmen, not seeking medical advice but aiming to discuss my unique case for the benefit of his current patients. Dishearteningly, the nurse (Jessica) stated that a paid appointment was the only option, and despite my attempt to pay, she concluded it was not feasible due to my location outside Louisville. This incident raised concerns about the bureaucracy within U of L and Dr. Karmen's practice. It seems that financial considerations took precedence over the potential contribution to medical understanding and patient care. This experience left me extremely disappointed with the system and, unfortunately, with Dr. Karmen.

Dr. Karman is a excellent doctor. He will give you great explanations of your conditions so you can understand and fill confident going forward. Dr. Karman is a caring doctor!!!!

Dr. Karman saw my husband back in the 70's. He knew he was worse than he should have been at his age. He sent a test off and he was right. He had Alpha-1. When I went with him it was as though he was his only patient. He had a Double Lung Transplant which gave him 12 more years of life. He passed away Christmas day 2009. I have never seen a Dr as dedicated as Dr. Karman.

Dr. Thank you for everything you have done for Tom Hereford. I know Hospice has been called in and although I am devastated Tom seems to be handling this well for now. He holds you in the upmost regard and I hope that when you see him again you will let him know that he matters to you as well.He says you gave him a great 12 years that he wouldnt have had. He is right. you are a compassionate and kind physician and Tom speaks with so much love and respect for you. thank you again
