Dr. Robert D Kelsch

Robert Kelsch graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine in 1992. He then completed a two year General Practice Residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. It was during this time that he decided to pursue further specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center where he currently participates in the biopsy service as well as clinical oral pathology faculty practice in addition to the Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology residency training program. Previously, from 1997- 2000 he was the Director of the Oral Diagnosis Clinic at the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry. Most recently he was selected to be the editor of the Nassau County Dental Society Bulletin, as well as a site visitor for the CODA for oral and maxillofacial pathology programs and an editor for OOOOE. He is an active member of the AAOMP (American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology), recently completed elective office on the Executive …Council of that organization and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology since 1999.
| ACADEMIC INTERESTS
Dr. Kelsch's academic interests include mentoring residents and students in undergraduate and graduate education programs at his parent institutions, providing lecture series on varied oral pathology topics, particularly oral cancer education. His research interests include immunohistochemical and molecular profiles of salivary gland neoplasia. Recent projects focused on c-kit and p63 expression in benign and malignant salivary gland tumors. |
