Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:Losing both of my parents has been the greatest challenge I have faced in my life. I lost my father to metastatic lung cancer when I was 8 years old and my mother to metastatic breast cancer when I was 19. The loss of my parents at a young age, particularly my mother since she was my last living parent, has allowed me to develop passion and empathy for helping others who are suffering. This goal of helping others is what led me to the medical field. What I want my patients to know about me:Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience. Chronic pain has a way of eroding at our quality of life. Each person's experience of pain is unique, and not everyone's pain fits neatly into the same box, which means that treatment must be customized individually. I will work tirelessly to help individualize my patients' care plan to best fit their needs. Pain can be treated with medications, injections, physiotherapy, cognitive behavioral …therapy, mind-body techniques, and more. Often a combination of modalities can be most effective. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I am not seeing patients, I am spending time with my wife and two children. Being a father is an absolute joy, and it never gets old seeing how happy their little faces are when I get home at the end of each day. I also believe in taking good care of my body by exercising five or six days per week. I am an avid sports fan, especially football-go Cowboys!

Very attentive and caring doctor, paid attention to all my questions and answered them clearly so I could understand. I could tell he enjoys his profession and his patients are very important to him.

I have recommended Dr. Knipe to multiple friends. He always listens to my complaint, we develop a plan, and move forward by getting tests, setting up appointment for injection, etc

Inept staff. Lack of communication and the DR is very harried and seems nonchalant.

In all fairness let me state we never actually saw the doctor. He might be marvelous but the wait time is unacceptable. As requested, my husband and I got there 15 minutes early for the appointment. Ten minutes past the appointed time I asked how much longer it would be. We were told that the doctor was still with one patient and there was another in front of us. We were told that when the doctor was finished with the other two patients he would see my husband but that the doctor took his time with his patients. That is all well and good but then don't schedule so many patients who are in pain that they have to wait for an unknown length of time. My husband suffers enough without having to wait for who knows how long. To top it off we assume we lost the co-pay for the privilege of inconsideration treatment.
