My son saw this psychologist for a couple months. While the psychologist himself was okay, the practice as a whole is greedy and horrible. I was the victim of credit card fraud and my card number was changed. As a result my credit card was declined on their auto bill. Instead of just calling me or asking me to fix it, they immediately charged me a late fee not only for that appointment but for a previous appointment that occurred before the credit card was changed that they happened not to run until two weeks later. They didn't send a bill, didn't give me so much as a week to fix it -- just slapped on these fees. This is absurd. When I told them I thought the fees were unacceptable they refused to let my son see the psychologist anymore. I told them I would gladly pay the copay but not the arbitrary fees. They did not care. After months of developing a bond with this psychologist, my son had to stop his therapy. This caused him more emotional harm. I tried to call Dr. Lavine a… couple times to see if he could resolve it but he never bothered to return my calls. Looking at other reviews on Yelp and such, I am not the only one who has had problems with their horrible greedy practices. For a psychology group to greedily try to take advantage of people who need their help is simply unethical and immoral. DO NOT go there!
