Dr. Robert John Maddalon, MD

I recently had total hip replacement at South Bay Hospital. I was given all precautions and tests prior which were reinforced day of surgery. All questions answered honestly. His advice and written office info say to call the office immediately with any concerns. At 78 years old, I'm very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. Highly recommend Dr. Maddalon.

It's very important to me that my doctor listens to my concerns and works with me on treatment. I'm not one to just agree to the first treatment that is suggested, I like to explore alternatives. Dr Maddalon, his PA, and the staff have worked very well with me to determine a course of treatment for my osteoarthritis. They have come in and partnered with me in my treatment and I appreciate it very much. Dr. Maddalon and his staff have always taken the time to listen to my concerns. If he has left the treatment room and I think of another question, they will have him come back and answer it for me before I leave. That means a lot to me.

My appointment was offer!! The doctor spent very little time listening to my concerns. He was concerned with telling me that I needed to have a partial knee replacement and that it could be done as an outpatient. Not once did he show me the current X-ray that would confirm that. He didn’t even stay around to give me the shot that I had opted to get. The Nurse Practioner informed me that he was late getting to a lecture. After serious reflection on my visit, I was very, very disappointed. Never have a encounted a Physician who was to rushed to listen to patients concerns. Even though he had come to me with high recommendations, I found my second visit to be one that I care not to remember. Upon talking to my Primary Physician, he recommended another Orthopedic doctor. I was extremely disappointed in the care that I received from Dr. Maddalon.

Staff not friendly. DR and Pa demanding and not friendly. Procedure not explained well at all. Care after surgery non existent. If you offer any complaints you are immediately received with hostility. Office staff and all who work there are rude . This place clearly does not have your well being at heart. Would notadvise anyone to go there.

Dr. Robert Maddalon is one of the best Surgeon's. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr assistant (a man)was terrible in comunication.I ask to talk to DR. see Dr a short time,did not show me size of my Meniscus tear,let me decide(Selective),I do not undrestand what to do.I am going to talk today about with his lady assistant.Not comfortable to do surgery.
