Dr. Robert Lawrence Mailliard, PhD

I had a very disappointing experience with Northshore & Robert Mailliard. Upon entering the receptionist was rude and unfriendly. Unprofessional behavior at the front desk reflects deeper issues within the practice’s environment. From the beginning, he came across as rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in actually listening to me as a patient. When I tried to explain my concerns, he made me feel belittled and invalidated. At one point, he even told me that the doctors who diagnosed me as a child were wrong — a highly inappropriate and arrogant statement, especially without taking the time to understand my full history or condition. It felt invalidating and disrespectful. When I requested that paperwork be sent to my counselor, he responded that it was "above her pay grade," which was not only unnecessary but also deeply unprofessional. His overall attitude lacked any sense of compassion or care. As a patient, I expect to be treated with basic respect and dignity — not… belittled, dismissed, or second-guessed without reason. Sadly, that was not the case here. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone looking for empathetic or respectful care.
