Dr. Robert Anthony Mangano, MD

WOW!! Before I get started please allow me to state that we have never visited Geisinger. Our experience was more than 14 years ago @ Stony Brook University in NY. Geisinger is very luck to have Dr. Mangano on staff. Dr. Mangano was our daughters first Cardiologist 14 1/2 years ago her in NY when she was first born. He was the most kind and considerate doctor that we had ever met. We were extremely sorry that he had moved away but he left us in VERY capable hands. WE MISS YOU!!! Our daughter was born with Pulmonary Atresia and an ASD and Dr. Mangano was extrmely informative and thorough with her diagnosis and the information that he gave to us. Not sure of what her future would be, Dr. Mangano assured us that she was strong, well.....he was right. She is now a Gymnast at her High School. Although she was not restricted from activities in school we weren't sure that she would be as physically active as she is, for that we are eternally grateful to Dr. Mangano.

Dr. Mangano has taken great care of our son, doesn't talk down to us, and explains our son's complicated condition well. The only downside is it's hard to get an appointment close to us (we have about a 45 minute drive, but we do it because we like him!).
