If I could give no stars I would. Went to him for a neuroma. He said I also needed my toe shortened and a bunion removed. I trusted his opinion. 9 years later 2 more surgeries from another doctor and I still cannot walk without pain. He broke off part of bone under the toe he shortened in the ball of my foot. Now my foot doesn't land correctly. Toes are crooked, cramp up all the time. I can no longer wear cute shoes or heals. I need super wide very cushined shoe. Cannot walk for long periods, no more gym, cannot put pressure on ball of foot. Two years ago I got another opinion, was told another surger to shorten other toes so ball of foot lands correctly. I just cannot do it, too scared of the out come. Please get a second opinion before you decide what to do.

I had a bunionectomy and straightening of the 2nd and 3rd toe. I have had constant pain since this surgery and finally saw a different doctor. As a result of my surgery from Dr. M, I have bone on bone in my 2nd toe and the only option now is amputation . Very disappointed with this doctor.

I went for a bunionectomy and minor hammertoe repair. Ended up with a big toe that turned outward, and a second toe that angles towards the 3rd toe, bad scarring and tendons that were shortened too much. Dr. M said they just "looked crooked." Saw 4 specialists for opinions and second surgery. (They disagreed that the toes only look crooked. They could not repair all the damage. Had the tendons lengthened and scarring somewhat fixed. (did not have these problems with a previous surgery done by a now retired physician. One doc just shook his head. Another said the angling of the toe was done badly and could not be repaired. It is more painful to walk now than before. AVOID Dr. M for surgery. There are plenty of good physicians out there. Also, the charges for a reputable orthopedic hospital were less than for his private surgery.
