Dr. Robert Edward Maurer, MD

I visited Doctor Maurer's office and for the most part my experience was average. What was memorable was the staff. When I say memorable, I definitely don't mean it in a good way. To be honest, the entire staff wasn't horrible, just one. She is the only reason I'm leaving feedback and the same reason I feel it's important enough to warn others. The front desk person (Kris), was extremely rude. She lacks the basics in common courtesy and sense, and falls short of any sort of class. It's very unfortunate, because it is the front desk person whom you interact and first meet in the practice. If you could look past her (Kris) bad 70's perm and sarcastic personality, then you will probably have an average experience.

Diabetic husband diagnosed with prostate cancer after a TURP. Aggressive treatment with radiation seeds and hormone(estrogen) therapy. He suffered with female emotions. Complete removal of his testosterone. Has had surgery by another urologist for scar tissue partially due to radiation scars. Husband has also been on testosterone therapy and PSA remains almost 0. Wondering if we shouldn't have had a second opinion. I walked out of the office due to his rude sarcasm to my husband. Would definitely NOT recommend him to anyone!!

Left me with a urinary tract infection but still demanded I pay him in full!

I went in for a cist on my kidney and he did a PSA test in was high but not to high wanted copies of previous PSA test which was done and he would call me after getting them. Eight phone calls and over a month later his staff continue to drop the ball. I do not know if I have cancer or not. His staff is the worst staff I have ever tried to deal with, nasty and lazy. I am going to a different doctor to see if I have cancer his staff refuses to do what he has told them to do. JUST GO TO SOME OTHER DOCTOR!

I has been referred to another local urologist. I kept that appt and made the decision I'd better doctor, The office was complete mess with people stacked up. I'm so happy that I found Dr. Maurer and his staff. He instills that I'm important and not just a number.

Great doctor and the staff is by far a reflection of the office. So glad I found Dr. Maurer!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY -out of network doctor$350.00 for consultation /150.00 follow-up. Very arrogant. Go to UC DAVIS Children's Hospital for pediatric diagnosis - this guy will bleed you dry-my child's teacher took her daughter there and has had same experience...dr was not prepared, doubted symptoms until finally looked at CT, x-rays, and blood work-said "I can diagnosis this with one x-ray" after saying out loud, "spina bifida" under his breath. Results from xray back that night @ 8:30 and refaxed 12:20 next day, yet left us hanging...until sched appt following week @ cost of 150.00. Xray showed constipation-prev ct did not. xray not diagnositic. leading us on for more appts. Going to UC for REAL DIAGNOSIS-JERK-staff shouts out questions across room for recep desk-unacceptable-more geared for dealing with adult seniors...not child development, and concerned parents..

Dr. Maurer, is to me very good make me feel very at comfortable. his office staff is very good,
