Dr. Robert Allen Maxwell Jr, MD

I was a highly happy patient following my surgery and his staff was great. I felt like I had finally found a kind and competent doctor. He has to keep my equipment repaired that I have and I had to return to him 3 or 4 times now to have it repaired. His staff lied to me this last time and said he was not going to be available for over 2 weeks. I went to the hospital and the hospital told me he had been part of my ER care. He never came down to see me. He came to do my surgery to repair everything and he was very angry with me blaming me for my problems. He sent his associates to speak to me after surgery. It was an awful experience this time. His intial surgery was awesome, but as I said now he hates me for some reason. I am going to find a new doctor to take care of my equipment since he no longer wants to do it. Just take my words into consideration. If you need him for the long run go somewhere else. If you need him for a short period go to him. He is a great surgeon.

Misled IN the written report he lied about two things,how I broke the plates on my ribs and the possibility of rupturing my lung was never discussed,covering his own tail,not to be trusted.

He immediately took my husband in and did emergency surgery on my husband and took immaculate care of him. Will forever be grateful for his care!!!

Had it not been for Dr. Maxwell I would not be alive today. His skill not only as a surgeon but managing a team of surgeons and giving them his skills and knowledge. He is more than just a Doctor, he is a rare one that has the beside manner of the old family Dr. who use to come in the middle of the night and take care of the family. He should receive the Nobel Prize for Medicine. He is that qualified.

i'm 44 and underwent a surgical procedure at another hospital and developed serious complications. i was placed on a ventilator and transferred to erlanger in a medical induced coma and diagnosed with a duodenal stump leak, pneumonia and numerous other complications. i subsequently went into respiratory arrest and my abdomen was filled with necrosis which led to infections throughout my body. dr. maxwell literally saved my life and his concern was genuine. i can't thank dr. maxwell enough for what he did for me. i know that God touched dr. maxwell's hands.
