Dr. Robert Z W McLees

Dr. Mclees has been my doctor for 15-20 years. He's very professional, caring and gentle. He has a friendly manner which makes him easy to talk to, and he takes the time to listen to your concerns. He explains the procedures and follows up on your problems until they are resolved. He's the best!

Dr.McLees has been my physcian for about 25 yrs.I highly recommend him.He had found more than once heath problems that had been overlooked by previous Physician.I will always be indebted to him for solving a hormone imbalance that had caused serious health problems. Previous Doctor's had stated it was "in my head". Whether he likes it or not as long as he is practicing I will be a patient.

I'll I can say is $15,000 later I wish I went with my gut feeling and looked else where for fertility assistance and guidance. Dr. McLees acts like he cares and wants to help you but really doesn't have his time and energy invested in the well being of his patients which is hard on clients who are so emotionally distraught on conceiving a child. The office is setup to take your money and that is what they do best so there will never be an issue with not being able to work you in for an appointment. My biggest issue with the GYFT clinic and Dr. McLees is that I was told I needed surgery when really only needed an ultrasound to show the results Dr. McLees was trying to find through a risky and extensive surgery. Prior to surgery, the office verified the surgery was covered under our policy using a prognosis code and when it came time for billing the insurance they chose to use a different code and therefore our insurance denied coverage. Surgery was $6,000 vs. a $750 ultrasound.… Best suggestion I can offer is to find different fertility clinic. It's worth any wait and you'll find that the prices are not as high as the GYFT clinic.

Dr. McLees has been my OB/GYN for many years. He's a very nice man - no complaints there - and I also love the nurses that work there. My only issues were:A) After a laparoscopy and me coming out of from under the anesthesia, he just nonchalantly said you have Stage II endometriosis. I have a video of the surgery. We'll go over it during your post op consult. Then he walked out. B) It seemed like every time I saw him, he would say something different regarding treatment, the drugs, etc.C) He spoke in very low tones, so sometimes it was hard to understand him D) I had a lot of different nurses and it seemed like everyone was on a slightly different page - although, all of them were super friendly.E) I rarely ever got feedback to what my blood draws and tests came back asF) I didn't know what (1) of the side effects of Clomid was, until I experienced it and thought I had to go to the emergency roomG) The (3) times I was on Clomid, my ovaries responded - but slowly, and I had the adverse… affect of my cervical mucus drying up...I figured after the 2nd time of this occurring, it would be time to do something different - Gufasein was recommended after my 3rd failed attempt, except, I had researched it already and was on it - but it had still failed.H) After the 2nd failed attempt, he told me that he thought that I could be carrying the antisperm antibodies...after some research, I discovered that men are more likely to carry this. We had my fiancs sperm tested. It came out perfectly fine. I asked Dr. McLee's since he thought I carried it, if there were tests I should undergo to double-check...He then looked surprised, and said basically, "Why would you think you carried the sperm antibody?" I told him it was because that it was because that was what he told me. He basically said he didn't. J) I had to have a cervical mass (polyps) scraped. He told my fianc that my cervix was "too small" for him to really get up in there to make sure it was all gone. My fianc asked if that contributing to my fertility. He stated that it well could be. When I questioned him about it, he stated he did not say that. What he meant was that my cervix was small because of the time I was in at my then cycle. K) He told me I had PCO...but not PCOS...which is still confusing to me. I guess maybe the level that I carry it? I have irregular cycles that vary. I get cysts on my ovaries. But I don't carry any other symptomsL) When I went to my post op consult, I asked what point level I was at in with my Stage II Endometriosis diagnosis (according to my research, there are point levels in severity). He said, "You just have Stage II." M) Not too sure and I could be wrong (I'm no doctor). Because he stated that I was a good candidate at getting pregnant due to my PCOS and my Endometriosis not being too severe...I asked if there was a way to possibly regulate my hormones to where I could ovulate on my own. I ended up on 3mgs of Estradiol, 200mgs of progesterone. According to my pharmacist, (I had to keep getting overrides from my insurance agency due to the level of estrogen prescribed), he told me it was (3) times higher than what women w/ menopause were prescribed. According to my research: Women w/ PCOS tend to be estrogen dominant - I've got the hips and breasts to prove that I have plenty...so I don't know what to make of that as of yet. The progesterone, I know that women with PCOS tend to be low, so that may have been fine. He also had me on estrogen for the whole month, the last (2) weeks I supplemented with the progesterone. I took ovulation tests and discovered either: I was way off on the dates I should have been ovulating, or if somehow they almost acted as birth control. N) Because (I believe) of the high levels of estrogen, I put on 40lbs...which I'm slowly working off now.O) They didn't really seem to advocate alternative approaches (or have knowledge of them) ie: Diva or Instead cups, Pre-Seed Lubricant, Acupuncture, ChiropracticSo I'm kind of 50/50. I know that Dr. McLee's is very highly regarded in this profession and he's a very nice man...I'm just going to go for a second opinion just to see what another physician thinks and has to say about my condition for my own assurance. Time is of the essence and good luck to all ;0)

Dr. Robert Z McLees was an outstanding provider & surgeon. He was thorough with explaining my surgery and the possible outcome. Dr. McLees spent a great portion of his time in the exam room with my husband and I. It wasn't to only talk medical, it was general conversations as well. I recommend Dr. McLees to anyone looking to have their tubal ligation reversed! Thank you Dr. McLees for everything you've done and for giving my husband and I the chance to have additional children to our family. You will be hearing from us soon....once we know there's a baby coming!
