Dr McMichael is an excellent Dr, and his staff is wonderful. I have relocated out of state and will miss being cared for by Dr McMichael and his staff....

Dr McMichael has been excellent in the past, his office systems are superior, Courteous staff.

Dr McMichael takes the time to get to the correct diagnosis. He truly understands what we are going through and tries to help us understand the disease and what we can do to improve our health.

He is very thorough and straight to the point. I did not like him at all the 1st visit, but I love him now knowing he truly cares and will run every test to get to the root of the problem. Lindsey his nurse is super nice also !

He is a wonderful and caring doctor.

Other than being booked and having difficulty getting the intial appt., I am rating Dr. McMichael as the best neurologist I have been to. I have prior experience with many neurologists (including Baylor, and Mayo clinic) for other conditions, and none have been as thorough in their history or exams. I was referred to Dr. McMichael by a 5-star neurosurgeon, who did not fully understand my case, and wanted a good evaluation by a neurologist. I have upper cervical instability with vascular compromise, and have been dismissed by other doctors who do not understand the anatomy or implications of cervical spine instability on blood flow to the brain. Dr. McMichael and his nurse took a very thorough history and exam, and spent a generous amount of time, in order to understand my presentation. Dr. McMichael ordered appropriate tests, and has rescheduled a timely follow-up. Because he did not have any appointment slots open, he offered to stay late to take my case in. I believe that… he is going above and beyond the call of duty to stay late to see me for my follow-up. I feel very blessed to have found Dr. McMichael. I feel that I am now on the right medical track and that there is now hope.

The Dr has a weird sense of humor or he is a bit sarcastic while talking with you. He is very nice, but I just didn't communicate with him very well. I had to keep asking questions that he thought he had given me. He isn't very "urgent" about anything and it can take a few months to get all things you need taken care of. He is good, just a bit strange for my likes.

Dr. robert McMIchael is a very good Neurologist. He suspected MND but didn't commit. Due to my previous hsitory of CSM he felt surgey was necessary first. I think he was wrong. If surgery had occurred I woud not be here today. I still highly recomend him as a very smart and intelligent Neurologist but he was wrong with me. I still made need his help. The Va in Dallas seems less knowledgable than Dr. Mc MicMichael My NIF readings (-16)continue to drop and I am worried about my respriatory issues than the VA seems to understand.

I have Muscular Dystrophy and have been going to Dr. McMichael for about seven years. I have found him to be very thorough and understanding. I have severe sleep apnea and he worked with me for years to find a way to treat this condition effectively. He currently is working to get me tested to see if I suffer from Pompe disease. He has a law degree in addition to his medical degree and knows how to get the Insurance Companies to cover needed tests and treatments. Dr. McMichael takes the time to listen and explains what he is doing and answers all of my questions.

Dr. McMichael is very thorough in explaining your condition and medications being used. I feel very comfortable asking him questions, and he does not talk above my head. I look forward to my visits to see him.He also communicates with my family doctor to keep him informaed of my condition and medications.
