Dr. Robert J. Meisner, MD

I wish I could give 0 stars to this Doctor and his staff. Be aware that if you schedule an appointment with Dr. Meisner at Riddle hospital, you won't be seeing Dr. Meisner, you'll be seeing his nurse practitioner. Our first visit to his office at Riddle was one week ago. I took off work to take my mom to her new patient consult with the surgeon who would be operating on her: Dr. Meisner. When we get there, instead of the office calling and giving us a heads up that Dr. Meisner wouldn't be there, they said they try to "keep things moving" when he can't be there, and they couldn't get their story straight about why he wasn't there. The nurse who was having trouble even using the blood pressure machine said he was called out for emergency surgery, and then the nurse practitioner who we met with in his stead said he was sick. The nurse practitioner said we would meet the surgeon on the day of the surgery, and also told US to remind him where the incision for her procedure would be placed!… My mom and I both agreed that we wanted to consult with the surgeon who would be actually putting knife to skin before the operation. My mom scheduled another appointment with Dr. Meisner, I took off work again and when we get to the office, guess who decided to leave early with no one from the office giving as a heads up before we got there? You guessed it: Dr. Meisner had to leave early for some undisclosed reason. We get it; it's beneath Dr. Meisner to meet with his patients to discuss the procedure he's going to be performing. It's cool for us to take off work and come to the office twice for a consult with him only for him to not be there, but he doesn't have the time to meet with us common folk. Needless to say, we're finding a different surgeon, and I'm glad we insisted on meeting the surgeon before the operation b/c we dodged a bullet by him being a no show twice. I wouldn't let this entitled clown anywhere near my mother with a scalpel.

very professional

if i could give him no stars i would. very poor doctor. he only has one thing on his agenda, which is re-cutting a patient when he does not have to. very bad bedside manner, along with sabastien. he has snide comments about other main line doctors who have been in the field longer then he has. he thinks he is god and plays god with my husband. he botched up the first time and instead of going the less evasive, he is cutting into him again. does not belong at main line.
