He is by far the worst doctor I have experienced and I have alot of experience! He is uninformed regarding recent scientific studies and journals. His misinformstion and lack of knowledge almost led to live threatening complications. If not for 2 Drs intervening and calling him I hate to think what the outcome could have been. DO not go to this man.

Dr. Mendelsohn has the WORST patient relations skills! I have been in and out of his office multiple times for the past 3 months and always pay my $50 copay upfront. I recently went for a colonoscopy for BM symptoms which came out normal. Instead of going back into his office, taking off from work and paying another $50 copay, i asked to speak to the doctor over the phone to discuss other reasons why I may be having such symptoms (a 2-5min phone call) and he refused. During routine visits he barley explains anything and am only in the office for less than 5 minutes each time. Apparently he is on his high horse and too good to be humane and speak with a patient over the phone. Disgusting.

I was hesatint with seeing the Dr. thinking nothing could be done for me being I’m 7 months pregnant. I had tried all over the counter meds my OB suggested and nothing worked. Sadly I was feeling hopeless. I was miserable for 7 months every single day all day long with extreme heartburn and acid reflux that would come up. Dr Mendelssohn listened to my concerns and was able to write a prescription that was save during the remainder of my pregnancy. Iam happy to say I haven’t had ANY heartburn or acid in 6 days!! Have been with Dr Mendelsohn for over 4 years. I feel my level of care is standard for someone who sees a Doctor for UC every 6 months. No complaints, nice Dr. good manners. Easy to talk to.

Poor quality appointment and follow-up. I was very unimpressed. Eager to provide medicine without further investigation to my symptoms.

Good doctor, but I didn't appreciate being asked to come back every 3 months for a condition that pretty much stays the same.

Dr Mendelsohn was very professional and kind didn't rush me gave me a full explanation of my condition the latest treatments and how they worked

I've had to wait at least an hour and a half to see the Dr. (walked out after waiting 3 hours once!). I am currently seeing a new doctor who questioned the dosage of medication given to me, and also identified many blood deficiencies that would not have been made realized if I stayed under the old care.My new treatment avoids prednisone, which was a mainstay under Mendelsohn's care.Also, for a gastroenterology office, only 1 bathroom?
