Dr. Robert Ajit Mittra, MD

First time I walked into the clinic, I wondered if I would ever have my vision back. Dr. Mittra and his marvelous team were very supportive and assured me everything was going to be alright. Dr. Mittra took time to explain my diagnosis and treatment procedures. His wonderful team of nurse always welcomed me with smiles and an uplifting atmosphere. I was really cared for and would recommend Dr. Mittra and his team. Thank you very much!! I

I cannot imagine a retinal specialist being better than Dr. Mittra. His original diagnosis with forecast of progress through treatment was very accurate. He is supported by an excellent staff who test, examine, and scan my eyes at each appointment. I am more than happy with my experience with Dr. Mittra and his support staff. He is saving my vision. How could I be any less than thrilled.

Dr. Mittra reattached my retina due to an accident at my home. When I first met with Dr, Mittra at the Phillips Eye institute I was very irate and irrational due to the nature of my accident. Dr. Mittra was very empathetic, supportive, and instructive in my initial meeting and post surgery aftercare. He returned numerous calls that continued for months, usually within an hour. Every encounter whether in the office or on the phone was met, with instructive, empathetic, and reassuring care. He did not usher me off the phone or out of the office. In short, he spent a lot of time reassuring me. Absolutely, the best M.D. to have in Crisis.

I was referred to Dr. Mittra because of some issues with my retina. His staff is marvelous, they did their jobs in the most professional manner possible. Dr. Mittra spent only the minimum amount of time necessary to make a diagnosis, did not explain my condition, did not spend any time answering my questions, and did not concern himself with me as an individual. I'm not even positive his diagnosis is correct and am taking the time to go to another doctor for confirmation. I would not recommend this doctor..AT ALL!
