Dr. Pae is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.After earning both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Connecticut, Dr. Pae completed his orthopaedic surgery residency training at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook and a hand and upper extremity fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Pae specializes in surgery of the upper extremity including the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, with a special interest in congenital hand problems.

Not an honest doctor, Works to please Workmen compensation insurance companies from paying disability benefits. After a 10 min examination with Dr. Pae, he stated i was only 25% disabled / and my benefits were reduced by 75%. Didn't even look at my MRI and xray results and my doctors records of 6 months of treatment.

I have a problem with trigger finger and have had numerous surgerys with Dr Pae. I think that he is a great Doctor and spends time with me and is very conservative in his approach . His staff is also very nice. My only complaint is that St. Vincent closed and he is forced to practice at Downtown Hospital where the surgical staff and suite is a nightmared. But I can put up with that because he is such a good doctor

First of all, to the woman who has complained about waiting close to an hour for her appt: ALL dr's worth their weight in NYC run at least 30 minutes late. That's just the way it is in NYC to see a decent dr. I found Dr. Pae as well as his office staff to be very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I broke BOTH my hands, switched from seeing a useless Ortho up in Westchester, and so far, I am very happy with his assessment and help. He said I might need surgery in the future but he wants to wait and see how the occupational therapy goes first and then re-examine the surgery possibility. I give him an a+

He had performed a very difficult surgery on my broken and previously misdiagnosed (by another doctor)left wrist. It was a complete success and I think he is an excellent surgeon.

Never examined me had a PA preform the exam and then spent 5 min with me .Did not have the technology to upload a diagnostic MRI disk. Was in a big rush to see another patient. would not go back to him I would have been better off going to a medical school and let a student exam me as he did not preform the exam as he pushed me away to a pain management doctor instead of trying to diagnose the problem but wanted me to return for a follow up but has no idea what was wrong with my hand. A real non professional a waste of time to be seen by him.
