It is a great breakthrough that ketamine treatments have been found to help those with treatment resistant depression. That was the case for me, and I felt that I had done enough research on providers. Initially, I felt good about the procedure and staff, but 2 weeks after treatment, I found follow up severely lacking, and several of my questions and concerns went unanswered. Office staff do not return calls. It feels like there is no continuity of care. For people who need the treatment as a last resort, the amount of money charged is obscene. The care should be much better and professional for that amount of money. I wish I had gone with a different doctor. When a patient has a legitimate and serious reaction, follow up and call backs are essential. This office has many terrible reviews, which I chose to ignore. I regret my decision, and encourage others to be extremely cautious.

I was a patient for more than 2 years and Dr Pollack is very friendly and it's fun to listen to his stories about his life and family. He adjusted my meds for depression with some good and some not good results which I think is to be expected with mental health treatment. I suspect if he had talked less and asked more questions I could have reached the proper diagnosis and treatment that I found with a different doctor. There was one thing that upset me very much. When I arrived for one appointment I was told all patients were being drug screened on the spot to verify meds were being taken, without exception. The receptionist told me he was angry because he was sure some patients weren't seeing improvement because they were not taking their meds. I later received a bill for $800. because my insurance didn't cover the test. I wonder how many patients are being misdiagnosed and given the wrong prescriptions and he thinks they just aren't taking them?

I cannot emphasize how unprofessional Doctor Pollack is. My elderly mother has been seeing him for several years for anxiety and depression management. She has gotten progressively worse. A year ago we scheduled the a neuropsychiatric exam to test her for dementia and he talked her into cancelling it, claiming he knew what was was needed. Dr Pollack claimed she has "age appropriate dementia," which is not valid medical term. She continued to decline and ended up being hospitalized with paranoid delusions and hallucinations. She is now getting her diagnosed at the Lee Memorial Memory Clinic and we are searching for a qualified psychiatrist for ongoing care. Dr Pollack lacks the ability or will to properly diagnose patients, and refuses to accept diagnoses from qualified psychologists. The office staff is very rude and unhelpful. Avoid this practice l As if your life depended on it.

Check everything he says. Do not agree to testing until it is written in stone your insurance covers it. His word means nothing. You want depression? Let him ring up medical bills for testing that is not necessary for a real Dr. To diagnose and not covered by your insurance.

Any mental problemproblem you have = depression. Don't expect any other diagnosis. Uniform treatment.

Agree with previous comments. Horrible staff, Could never receive a return phone calls. Horrible follow up. The reason you get into to this Dr. office is for a reason. They must have a high turnover rate due to the way they treat patients. I moved from Orlando to this area and had the same Dr. for over 10 years. Never had a problem before. I have 1 more appointment with this Dr. and his PA and this will be my last.

No return phone calls, staff treats you like you are a bother.
