Dr. Robert Louis Quillin, MD

I also have worked many years in healthcare and can read a doctor very well in the first time of meeting them. The previous review left by a "nurse" is completely wrong. I have been bringing my children to Dr. Quillin for 13 yrs and have never seen him in this way. He is the most caring, the most professional, and the most concerned doctor I have ever come across. He and his team are always who I recommend for their children and I have never gotten back and complaints, only praises.

Dr. Quillin visited my sister’s room at approximately to check on her infant. I was on FaceTime with my sister when he walked inside her room, I was on the phone for the entire duration of his visit. My sister’s husband was also present in the room. Both my sister and husband identify as Black and Muslim. In my professional experience as a RN, I immediately knew after Dr. Quillin’s first sentence to her that I needed to start taking notes because I found his questioning strange. The following is a summation and representative of the conversation that I witnessed. Dr. Quillin: So you just gave birth? My sister: Yes. Dr. Quillin: Do you have a pediatrician for him yet? My sister: No, we didn’t have a chance. (My sister’s family recently moved.) Dr. Quillin: You had 9 months..... My sister: Yeah I know, it’s just been a bit hectic for me. Dr. Quillin: You people don’t know your priorities. You didn’t pick a pediatrician, but I’m sure you already picked out shoes… for him. How many Jordan’s does this baby have? Let me guess, 10? His comments to my sister were aggressive, inappropriate, and racist. The comments Dr. Quillin made about “you people” and his assumptions that the family purchased “Jordan’s” over choosing a pediatrician for their baby are all laden with blatant stereotypes of and about Black people. This type of racial bias in a medical setting is unacceptable. It not only made my sister and husband extremely uncomfortable, but it also made her feel unsafe about her and her infant’s medical care at your hospital.

Dr. Quillin is very personable and has a nice way with his young patients, however he can be distracted by conversations and not as thorough as expected on physicals.

Dr. Quillin had been recommended to me multiple times. I am so happy with him.

Dr. Quillin is excellent doctor. We feel so comfortable with him. I am just sorry that we did not find him earlier. We have quite unplesant experience with our previous pediatrician. But Dr. Quillin is the real opposite. I would recommend him to everyone!!!

I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old and both of them see Dr. Quillin as needed. We have visited Dr. Quillin for 6 years now. I recommend him all the time to friends and family members who are looking for a pediatrician.

Since my family was new to the area, we searched and searched to look for a good pediatrician in webster/league city area and found Dr. Quillin with great reviews. However, my son's first appointment with him was very very very disappointing. First of all, he came in with a young lady - looks like a medical student or an intern - but never introduced her to me or to my son and she was there for the whole time. Secondly, he was preoccupied with her and conversation with her which made me feel like I'm interruping their time with my son! Thirdly, I listed various issues with my son but he never answered on all of them. He only answered on two of the issues and never asked me if I had any questions but left the office so quickly I didn't even know if it was finished or not! It was just terrible. Lastly, I think he made a wrong diagnose. My son had a roseola - that's why he had a fever on a previous week and rash on his face and partial body on a following week - but he said my… son's rash was from dryness. It was just a terrible experience for me and for my son. As you know, if your baby is sick, you feel so bad that you want to be sick. Doctor can be wrong on certain things because they are humans as well but the way he treated my son was just unacceptable. I will never see him as my son's pediatrician again. To be fair, the clinic itself is very nice and OTHER staffs are very nice as well. I took my son to Dr. Thomas before we saw Dr. Quillin and she was very very nice. She treated my son with a care and I felt that my son got 100% of her attention during the appointment. However, Dr. Quillin was totally opposite and I have no idea how he got such a great review overall. I'm writing this because I found him through internet reviews and I hope other parents make better decisions with my review.

Dr. Quillin is highly recommended by me and my wife. He is great with the kids and knowledgable and accurate in his diagnoses.
