Dr. Robert S Rice, MD

It seems like most complaints here are directed towards his staff. I can honestly understand why upon visiting his office. As a helathcare professional i was given some misinformation about prepping for surgery but nothing that will do any harm in the long run, i just happen to be a professional in this field myself. Also another team member seemed a bit flustered but she could just be new and catching her grounds. Im so far completely impressed with dr. Rice however and happy with all the time he spent with me and the extra care hes put towards my i injury thus far.

Dr. Rice was easy to get into, helped me get approvals form my insurance, and explained all I needed to know about having my meniscus repaired. He was very friendly and listened attentively. Surgery went off without a hitch.

I had a pre op meeting with Dr. Rice today. He was warm, friendly, funny and informative. I am having surgery on my knee next Tuesday and he made me feel very relaxed about my surgery.

I have had nothing but trouble. I have been needing surgery. They admit I need surgery. But the refuse to appeal the insurance. Come to find out, they didn't send in all of the conditions that were wrong. They rush me in and out. They never call me back. The nurses are very very rude. I have heard great things about his work but the bedside manner is horrific. Don't cut me off when I'm explaining to you what's happening. I have tried to stick with them for a few months. I'm looking elsewhere where I can treated with respect. I don't like to be treated like I'm a big baby when they know my situation is bad. When you make an appointment, you don't even see the Dr. You see his PA. He is very cool but why am I never seeing the Dr? Every time I go in, they tell me something else they have found on my MRI. I'm done!

Dr. Rice spent more time chatting with his nurse about her vacation then asking me about my concerns. He diagnosed a problem, did the surgery and then told me that the problem he diagnosed didn't exists so he did a different surgery.

Did not like Dr Rice and would not recommend. Bad bed side manner and very rude to his staff. Maybe he was having a bad day but it carried over into his patient interaction.
