Dr. Robert Alton Rostand, MD

Elderly Mother fell, emergency room visit late night next day visit to this unknown dr to get her admitted to skilled care for a couple of weeks. He acted like he knew nothing about the forms needed and did not once ask questions or touch Mother to see how her vitals or stats were doing. Acted like he had better things t[o do, and was disgusted he had to see her. I (son) confronted him to his huge surprise and told him to do what was needed to help this poor old lady clearly in agony. He proceeded to try and cover his butt and then stated he would fill out forms he knew nothing about a few mins earlier. I had to call the skilled nursing place I was attempting to get her into and he over heard me on phone attempting to understand what they needed again as the Dr acted as if this was first time he ever heard of this. Once he started filling form after nurse at skilled nurse told him he needed to give a report of his exam, he tried to hand me the form with out once examine her, I… confronted him again and he all of a sudden started to examine her only checking her heart beat with the tethascope, then sat and read the report from the emgency room visit last night. As we were leaving the nurses were helping us get her moving and they both said how sorry they were about this guy, and one said if We could do anything about this we would. So they clearly know this Dr is unreal how he has a job anywhere. Could go on but know nothing will be done.

Dr. rostand has plenty of experience, knows his stuff, but his "bedside manner" is a little rough. Sometimes he doesn't seem to take you seriously, during a visit. ALso seems very much in a hurry.
