Dr. Robert John Rubino, MD

I booked an appointment through ZocDoc and was called by the receptionist the next day. When she inquired about the reason for my appointment I told her that I needed to transfer to another OB-GYN since I was moving to another city. She was quick to tell me that their practice was not located in the city that I was moving to and I had to inform her that I was aware but their practice was in driving distance to my new home. Then she proceeding to to ask imposing questions as to why I felt I needed to see the doctor. Keep in mind, I am in my second trimester of pregnancy, so the need to see a doctor should have been clear. After answering all of her invasive questions she stated that she would have to get approval from the head doctor before she could book my appointment. I asked her whether they are taking new patients or not, she said yes, but I needed TK be approved and she would call me back. It’s been 4 days, I haven’t heard back. At this point I have no desire to work with this… practice.

He should fire his Receptionist and Nurse, very arrogant and have terrible bed side manners.

His office staff was one of the most professional I've ever met. Almost no waiting time once I was there, and the staff is helpful, warm and friendly. Dr. Rubino took great care of me during my second pregnancy couldn't have asked for more. I refer him to all my friends and family, he is just the BEST!

I am dr. Rubino’s patient for 20 years. 20 years ago he delivered my baby boy. I like the office, the stuff is very nice and helpful. Most of all, dr. Rubino is the best doctor- very nice, patient and knowledgable. I trust his opinion if i ever need any procedures or treatments. If you need a great doctor, come to dr. Rubino’s office. Thank you doctor and the stuff!

Dr. Rubino performed cryoablation therapy on me 2 months ago and I am so pleased. This procedure changed my life. I suffered for years with painful, prolonged periods and this procedure improved my quality of life. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. I am so happy with Dr. Rubino, his staff and my results. I highly recommend this doctor and this procedure.

The staff is is horribly rude. Attempting to make an appointment and having to deal with 'call center' is incredibly frustrating. I have an uneducated woman who can not count weeks arguing with me how far along I am only to be told that I can not be seen in office due to how far along she thinks I am. Shame this woman is stopping people from coming into office, speaking the way she does with attempting first time patients, and turning away prospective patients for doctors.

Dr. Rubino has been my Gyn for close to 20 years. I have some chronic health issues and a history of breast cancer in my family and his care has always considered these factors. His office in West Orange is pleasant and busy but I rarely wait very long to be seen in the waiting room, maybe a bit longer in the exam room. He is personable and kind. I have not made use of the Obstetrics services but would have felt comfortable with him. I have never visited the other offices.

Amazing staff, facility, and service. Dr. Rubino is really attentive and takes his time explaining all available options. Could not be happier with the Cryoablation procedure.

Uncaring staff. More than a week to get results and treatment.

I was very satisfied with Dr. Robert Rubino. I'm 53 years old and suffered from heavy heavy horrible periods. I read about the Her Option Cryoablation on the Rubino web site. Everything I read pointed to me. Dr. Rubino was very easy to work with, the exam was comfortable and I felt he listened to everything I had to say and then the Cryoablation was scheduled and performed. I really wish I had gone to him years sooner and had the procedure way earlier. But I'm good now and have had one period since the procedure and it wasn't heavy at all. I highly recommend Dr. Robert Rubino and the Her Option Cyroablation for anyone who suffers from heavy clumpy periods that last for days and days. The day of the procedure, make sure you eat something. I had a banana and a bowl of cereal with milk. Make sure you have the pain meds on you in your handbag so you can take 1 immediately following the procedure. Keep in mind that if you are a bit overweight, you might want to take 2 pain pills… as long as you have some food in your stomach.
