Dr. Robert Runner

Dr Runner did a right TKR on me in May of 2025. He did a fabulous job. I recently had a different issue that we wasn’t sure what it was but it was extremely painful to walk and it affected my right hip around to my groin and down the right leg. I called Dr Runner right away because he handled my TKR with ease and he knows me. He investigated with images and did what he could to give me some relief and he will also refer me to a spine Dr to handle those issues if needed right away. I also want to give a shout out to Amber, his assistant, she is awesome at handling the calls and paperwork needed for any situation that comes up and Ladonna was able to get me into the surgery center, next day for a procedure for pain that was needed. Over all. I will continue to have all star orthopedic handle all of my issues that may arise. I have a condition that causes issues with my body due to muscle weakness and fatigue so I feel comfortable knowing that I have Dr Runner and his staff if needed… in the future. Thank you all for your help and compassion and for all you do.

How I miss my Dr Runner?? you are the most caring, passionate, loving, patient a Doctor Who gets to know his patients one oh1 no rush never in a hurry a great listener and I just miss you so much Dr. Runner. Wish you were back here in Detroit Michigan but I’m really happy for you and your family relocating.??

I have hip dysplasia and am going through two hip replacements. I just had my right hip replaced with the direct anterior approach. It’s a much quicker recovery than the posterior approach- read about it. Most doctors still use the posterior approach which requires more PT and has hip limitations. Dr. Runner is very personable, caring, attentive and knowledgeable. He explained the procedure thoroughly and I felt well prepared for surgery. He works with Baylor, Scott & White. Everyone at the hospital was fantastic. I went home the same day with all the tools I need to heal, and I’m up walking. Dr. Runner personally called me the day after surgery to check in, which is so rare for a doctor to do. He takes the time to know his patients. I trust him with this procedure, which is a significant surgery. I highly recommend him for your orthopedic needs.
