Wonderful doctor but is now enjoying retirement!

Doctor Ryan has been my obgyn for two little girls. I feel luck and blessed to have found him right off the bat. My experience wonderful. I will recommend him to all my friends, family and acquaintances.

I love Dr Ryan! He was very professional and kind. He took care of me from the beginning to the end and even after my pregnancy. My blood pressure was terrbily high, and did what was best for me and the baby. He was very concerned and his main focus was that I not have a stroke or seizure! I delivered a healthy baby girl! His staff was very polite to me and even came to see me in the hospital! I would definately go back again!!

He is an amazing dr all around!!!

Dr. Ryan is amazing. I loved everything about him. Very sweet, and shows concern. He stays on top of your care. His staff member Stephanie is rude, not caring and difficult to deal with. She makes simple things hard. I would deal with her attitude problems just to see Dr. Ryan for my care.

His staff is great except Stephanie. She has issues. Dr. Ryan is moody and slams doors. Sometimes he appears to care, and sometimes he does not seem to care at all. Differs from visit to visit. He can be a real mean, intimidating rear end. I would not use this doctor again.

Had my 3rd child in his care, child was actually delivered by nurses not his fault just fast delivery. When I started having female problems I sought him out due to his wonderful bedside manner. After weighing several options I chose hysterectomy to be the best due to my issues. I suggested we do a hysterectomy via laparotomy so that every thing be thoroughly checked out. He said that was definitely a possibility, but not necessary that a vaganal hysterectomy would be sufficient so I agreed due to the recovery time being longer and the risks according to him being about the same. I had agreed to allow a student present for the operation and she is the one who came in and told me that During my hysterectomy my bladder was cut which in turn caused my ureters to kink. After the surgery he came in and informed me what had happened and never even apologized for what had happened, but the student apologized repeatedly. He was very short with me and I almost felt as though I had done… something wrong. Then once I was sent home scared to death with a catheter and stents in my ureters I started running fever and my pain was outta this world he was nowhere to be found. The doctor on call for him took 2hours to return my call, I felt so abandoned. I am not sure why he acted in this manner as it seems out of his character from What I knew of him, but after my care was complete I decided he will never get a recommendation from me nor will I ever return to see him.

It has always been my dream to have my children naturally with no meds. I had to have a c- section with my 1st pregnancy because I was having twins and there were many complications (due to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome). I was just happy that they made it into the world (and today they are happy and healthy) but I always felt sort of robbed out of my dream of giving birth naturally. When I got pregnant the 2nd time I did research online to see if I could find a VBAC doctor and I was shocked to see that Dr. Ryan is one of the few people in the state that will do it. I loved him from the minute my husband and I met him! He is very upfront about all of the risks involved, but seemed to genuinely care about how important a VBAC was to me. Toward the end of my pregnancy we were discussing what our plan of action was if I didn't go into labor. I told him I was in it for as long as he'd let me. I ended up being 2 weeks overdue (and he didn't pressure me to get a c-section). My water… broke the day before I gave birth (and again, he didn't pressure me to have a c-section). He always made sure the baby and I weren't at risk, BUT HE DIDN'T PRESSURE A C-SECTION (I think a lot of doctors would have these days). I gave birth to a healthy 8lb baby girl after 15 hours of natural labor. I feel complete knowing that my body did just what it was made to do. I cannot thank Dr. Ryan enough for that experience. He didn't give up on me or my birth plan. He is an exceptional Doctor and his staff (shout out to Courtney) are wonderful and helpful. I would recommend him to everyone!

1. Relay on resident for night delivery check up but the resident did not show up until the moment of push and she just stay with me for 30 min of unsuccessful trying.2. Dr. Ryan showed up after three hours of my push effort from 2:00am to 5:00am.3. Complication occurred, Dr. Ryan was getting upset with a nurse and though a scoop on the floor. Complication was not handled well and I have to deal with pain and bleeding later on. 4. I was bleeding heavily for an hour after delivery but Dr. Ryan did not check my blood volume. 5. Overall, Dr. Ryan can be a better doctor if he wants to be nicer.
